Everything that was in our house was from Sears, including the school clothes that I wore. I love going to the basement store in Santa Ana.. That's where my mom would get my clothes for school and then they would become my play clothes. I miss those years. And growing up in the LA area. Love from Marysville California

4:18 - I get a mental image of every robber, mugger and murderer eating Prince Spaghetti, and then going back out to steal and murder. "The victim was viciously attacked, but it's his own fault, because they were walking the streets when it was not Prince Spaghetti Night..."

I am not familiar with that brand. If it still exists, it must be a regional product that isn't available in my part of the country,

2:03 I remember seeing pinball machines like that in Sears and Montgomery Ward. If only my parents rich enough back then, one of these would've been an awesome Christmas present.
8:19 "Horseshack" sounded like "Rorshach"! (Of course, this was *years* before Watchmen.)

I love Karen's little "yeah!" at the end.

    More ads from 1976!!!
Sears Sears Sears almost like Spam Spam Spam am I right? But the pinball machine was awesome! It's too bad Sears is on life support.

2:02--I would love to have one of those pinball games! Sears was obviously one of the major sponsors of this program. Yes, it's kind of sad to see them going the way of the passenger pigeon.

Victory At Entebbe-one of several films on the subject

Siiiigggghhhh, I miss Sears. The philosophy they advertise in this video stuck around for decades only for it to buckle ten years ago. We have so few stores now that are like what Sears used to be.

0:00 and 7:29--Wow; I didn't know that Victor Borge had performed with the Carpenters! I love his musical comedy specials, which still surface on PBS once in a while even though he's been gone for a number of years now.
1:02--I love the use of a classic Beach Boys song to advertise Herbal Essence shampoo!

That's not Christie Brinkley at 1:15...looks like a 70s hair model.
"Victory at Entebbe" was packed with star power

Sears..where America shops . Well, not anymore. Shame, they could of been the Amazon of today if the weren’t mismanaged and sold all their divisions off.

Retailers like Sears and Toys R Us are dying not because of mismanagement or Amazon, but because they get purchased by predatory hedge funds who encumber them with debt.

@@80sCommercialVault Absolutely spot on. It is a crime what they do. We have very little local choices to shop anymore. What a shame.
