    Great post. No tamper dot. Everything working fine, also coded triple-blink. Do yoy by any chance have an idea why my LCM does not track mileage anymore? I update it with the current dash mileage, but it wont sync afterwards, in the term that if i check after a month the LCM still has the mileage i previously entered on it. Thanks in advance.

Would I still be able to get away with coding the original LCM for LED taillights or should I pull the LCM off the 530i?

    Awesome video, was a great help so far. One question though, I used BMW Scanner to code a new LCM to an '02 E39 525i Touring since the original one died. After writing Odometer and VIN, the tamper dot went away, but the "code FA data" option is greyed out for me. I still get error messaged in the dash about the air suspension being out of order. Yeah, no wonder, the car doesn't have it, but without copying the FA data from the IKE, I can't tell the LCM that there isn't any air suspension. Any idea why the copy option is not available?

      One part of your video that nearly threw me was when you're going through the list of numbers and you say "pic the one that matches"
      I didn't realise you meant the part number, which is on the LCM, which is in the car already. Once I sussed that I just picked the nearest number to it and the rest all worked.
      I managed to click "clear error" and turn off the rear light warning but aware NCS is needed to properly work it.

    The LCM I have in my car is not on the list anywhere. I have a mismatch in mileage between the LCM and IKE but not tamper dot. When I try to write the mileage to the LCM I get the error "Dashboard contains M35080 chip. Function impossible."
    Do I have an incompatible LCM? My LCM has 19 errors. The turn signals stop showing on the cluster as well as the high beams and other weird stuff happens all the time related to the LCM.
    Any help would be much appreciated!

      @@EvanGoyuk Hi Evan! SW is 2.0.
      For context, my original LSZ died and I replaced it with an exact match (down to the manufacturing code). I was using your video as a guide to get rid of the tamper dot (which worked after following your instructions and writing the odometer and FGSTNR!, thank you so much)! FA is grayed out though, and PA soft / Bmw Scanner still returns with "FA error" when initializing.
      Another issue, that I assume is related, is that I can't read the new LSZ with NCS Expert (throws a "wrong ECU coding index" error), which I am assuming is related. Currently googling solutions to try out tomorrow.

      @simaorodrigues6285 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EvanGoyuk Hopefully in a few weeks (planning on getting a SW 3.6 too). I'm currently ruling out it being a defective LSZ though, because I'm also getting a similar error in NCS Expert when trying to read MK60 (ABS pump/DSC module got replaced as well, same story, replacement was an exact part number). They were both replaced at a indie (car was in for a bunch of repairs).
      They were able to code in bi-xenons on the "new" module later though. Might have to pop by and see what they're using to code the modules and hopefully figure it out. Trying out a new LSZ would confirm or rule out if it's something to do with the way they coded these modules in. Do you have any ideas, in the meanwhile?

By just using pa soft, after you finish the removal of the tamper dot process go into the lcm, select "coding data", select "light coding" (you'll see a bunch of check boxes), uncheck all of the cold checks for the tail lights and that's it you're done.
