@Janoy Cresva Yeah. BA was put on when they were filming for Welcome to Hell. Muska got kicked off the day after the botched premier. I'm pretty sure I remember Muska saying he liked kicking it with BA because they were both stoners; might've been on the BA Epicly Later'd episode.

He did fall doing the crook with the boombox, but he said some dude helped him scoop the batteries back up, and he shoved them back in, and it was still working. So he got it on the second go. #respect

A Icon in skateboarding. Love Shorty’s, the eS muska shoes and brings me back when I first started skateboarding.
These shoes were it! Between these and the kostons, they started a whole movement.❤
I remember when the CM901 came out. I paid $119.99 for them from CCS and was not allowed to wear them anywhere but school. At that time I was still skating my Tony Hawk Airwalks that I picked up at Camp Three skateshop in Mount Pleasant PA on clearance. Those CM901's were by far the coolest shoes in early 2000's.
The first run of the Muska Silhouette decks in 97 had the (all black) Shorty's logo on the top sheet. After that, no top sheet logo until the reissues. Sizes, from smallest to biggest, were grey (7.5), yellow (7.75), red (8.0), blue (8.125), and green (8.5). If I'm not mistaken, the orange was a later release and was a size 8.25.
the muska graphic is my generations iconic graphic. my circle of friends i think 4 of us had that board and 2 of us my self included had the orange one which was 7.5
I really like this Appreciation segment. If this isn't already a recurring thing then it needs to be. I didn't see it anywhere in the playlists. Would love to see more of the legends have their stuff touched on again.

I remember when Muska came down to way Southern Louisiana in the early to mid. 90s with a bunch of dudes from Toy Machine that my cousin knew. My cousin lived in California for a few years. Muska and the bros. from Toy Machine came to 2 local skate parties one weekend. I remember because I missed them. I didn't even know who he was back then. I had seen him skate, though, on other days, and he was amazing. Very down to Earth, too. I really wish I wouldn't have missed those skate parties, though!

I'm 33 and started skateboarding in 2003, I remember watching Muska's parts in Tony hawk games 😄 I don't know if you're planning on doing that again but an apreciation on Tom Penny or Jamie Thomas would be awesome ! Daewon would also be incredible.

I remember that cover, I used to look at covers when I was just getting into skating around 97-98 just not understanding fully what was happening. Just looked deadly. I remember going from a Nash board to my cousins real set up. Late 90s early 2000s was a golden era man.

I very often mount my Sk8 ride with a pack of SHORTY'S, and I think of Muska Every time.
My bro had that classic muska deck and my best friend had those absurd shoes with the pocket in the tongue. I’m 33 now, that was in fifth grade lol. I was on the DC Impacts during that time with sick Status and DNA decks with Reflex bearings and venture trucks.
This could have gone on for 10 more hours &i'd still be glued to the screen.

You guys should checkout the beagle tapes clip where muska has the leather vest on he rolls up to that handrail like 100 times yelling let's go dog right here let's go every time. And I think when he finally commits to it he just lands it. The roll up is super short , there was kids watching and yelling stuff it's good.
Circa was the sickest shoe company to ever exist. I miss them so much...Muska, Thomas, Lopez, Cole, Appleyard...Circa was sick af when they were around.

@@Jonnyhprips I agree. Although, I recently decided to give the FP hype a go, after seeing their insole ads on insta every day. One of the most comfortable skate shoes I have ever owned. The comfort and board feel alone has me pretty positive I'll buy FPs for as long as they exist.

I remember hating muska back in the day. Anything popular was whack and I hated his frontflip before I could do one. Only in later years to do his exact front flip. My bad muska, you are a legend.

I was in 8th grade in 99. Me and the boys got rolled up on by the cops for skating the city library at they checked all of our shoes tongues because they thought all skate shoes had the stash pockets the Muskas had lmao
Man, those we the gud thymes.
Pat Duffy MIGHT HAVE HAD “the 1st STASH POCKET IN THE TONGUE OF SHOES” ...... they were “DUFFS shoes” the pocket only went 1/2 way down and was velcro.... I have a crazy story about losing my herb and walking 1/2 mile with friends searching the ground for it thinking I lost it... and it was in the stash spot the whole time !!!! And I forgot! And my friends were relieved and laughing THANK GOD!!!!

I think the orange Muska deck was a 7.65 or 7.63, I remember because it was the first deck I ever snapped and I was so proud of that.
That fall he took was definitely a concussion you see how hard his head hits and then bounces up and then he has his arms up and his fingers curled. That isn't just a concussion but a bad one, but Muska is no pussy he just shook it off, I'm sure he was done for the day though.

They absolutely did have gray silhouette board back in the day. I know this because the first "real" skateboard I ever got was the gray Muska back in 1998-ish? That was the 7.5" model. I had no idea about sizes so I had a skinny ass gray Muska board with Fury trucks that already had risers built in to them, on top of Dookie risers I got separately (again, I had no idea what I was doing lol). So that board was skinny as hell and tall as shit. I did learn kickflips pretty fast tho, only because it was impossible to pop without it spinning on you 🤣🤣
