Soooo fuckin right about back in the day grabbin a board off the shelf and slapping it to your back foot to feel it... *"Yeah this board is going to be rad!"* HAHAHAHH! Yeah Jeff.
Taking a bath takes on new meaning if Grosso is telling the story. Then the soap was sweet but not that fruit sweet, More of a perfume sweet. The water was hitting me like the falls at Hitchitickle camp like when I was 12 in summer camp. And texture of the tube was like the cobble stone streets in Mexico. It was magic. Now get out there and grab some soap and take a bath. Freaking rocks!
Gotta wear a woman's blouse, while making a overtly effeminate hand gesture, and yet bed more women than the average Joe will ever see in 10 lifetimes, and have total respect from said average Joe's.
5:30 LOL i grew up past this era, im from the throw the board on the carpet/mat in the shop feel out the concave and the run on the nose and tail for half cab potential. Going to start doing the bs boneless fit test on shaped boards ive been missing a key step in my curating process XD. NGL that part was a crack up as someone that never grew up skating in that era
all hail millers fastplant! and way to give it up to GSD. one correction- the gatair is actually a switch boneless 360. but whatever, keep those letters comin!
Saran Wraps sweeper to creeper sounds fucking awesome.... and can openers are one I do too much apparently.... Just learnt front shove sweepers, they work nice
+offthewalltv do u guys know where to find The Brown onions "track 38"? i have been trying to find it everywhere but i havent gotten any luck finding it,. if anybody else know where it is, please tell me!
It’s funny how skateboarding has come full circle again and vert and pools and bowls are cool thank God because it was such a rad. Part of skateboarding skateboarding isn’t just street skateboarding isn’t just VERT . Skateboarding is mastering all terrain when I was young oh God that was 45 years ago well anyway lol in the 80s you really didn’t distinguish one style from another except for maybe freestyle which at that time was a very Niche style of skateboarding. It definitely had its place for sure, because without it street skating would not be what it is today and vert 3:16 skating would not be what it is either. If me and the boys were skating in a parking lot with curbs and a few steps and what not and somebody invited us to go skate a half pipe, we would jump at the chance or if someone asked us if we wanted to skate an open pool we did we never saw The terrain as a different style. It was just another thing to overcome and to add our style to. I really feel like nowadays with the rise of people like Grant Taylor, old guys like Peter Hewitt, and new rippers will skate everything just as good as the other in order to be considered a real pro the days of only being a street shredder are over … SKATE HARD AND FAST PEOPLE ! Don’t be that dude doing Ollie’s standing still looking like pooon … 😂 Go big go fast it’s physics you will be have more stability ! That’s a fact. Stand still and you will fall like a turd. Faster you go more stable you shall be ! OG Mike … (old guy ) nothing gangster about depends 😂
All those plants are fresh again. When i see someone pull one at the park i go nut, can’t say that about street plants, freestyle or pressure flips just yet
Jesse Ocegueda nope, fastplant is a plant with your back foot. if by mute you mean grabbing toeside with your fronthand, which is slob. it would be a slob boneless, i dont think theres a real name. Mute is a specific air, a backside air were you grab toe side with your front hand
depends on where you r placing your hand if its on the nose its a bean plant if on the innerside of the deck idk like a bean plant almost, if on the outter side idk haha
I think they started out being called thrusters and then the word footplant came in immediately after.... I remember when the groundbreaking move came out....
Colton . Great set up move. Lance mountain many different plants. 1982 Pomona pro take all . The half pipe the pros goofing off all kinds of plants . Steve Cabalero took a 1000 dollars winner take all. 1000 bucks . All the best pros of the times were there . Insco Soquel CALIFORNIA
You guys all know the Bonelsss was invented in Cincinnati OH, right? Rob Hammerick. G.S.D. Mark Mounts still has the hand puppet he named it after. Hence, the Boneless One. When the Boneless Ones came through to play at the Jockey Club in the early eighties, they argued with me that it was invented in California... I was like, "Nope". The Doctors Office banks in Cincy..
There was this version this guy we knew would always do, we'd call them Wall squishies. Step off shove it grab the tail and plant the front foot on the wall then land.
Thanks for always clearing this up Jeff! You will be missed.

Jesse Ocegueda nope, fastplant is a plant with your back foot. if by mute you mean grabbing toeside with your fronthand, which is slob. it would be a slob boneless, i dont think theres a real name. Mute is a specific air, a backside air were you grab toe side with your front hand
