JIMMY PAGE OF ( LED ZEPPELIN ) loves this band. He met the group back stage and asked if he could have his picture taken with the drummer( AKANE ) she thought it was a dream ( it was not ) a rock legend like that giving props to the girls, how awesome is that.Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in 2016. He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best. Excellent reaction! New sub. If you had told me 20 years ago that my favorite band would be adorable little Japanese girls dressed in maid outfits, I would have said you were crazy. But these ladies are really top notch in their ability and execution. This particular song was performed to give their vocalist, Saiki, a chance to rest her pipes a bit and the others to show off their skill. You'll get a lot of suggestions from subs. Choose any. They don't have a bad song in their catalog.
Either Puzzle (live) Don't you tell me (live) or Moratorium (live) from the same gig will give a better idea of their strength of song composition with vocals. (Onset is affectionately known by fans as Saiki's (vocalist) comfort break). Other tracks like Play are recommended - though musically impressive, not a "complete" track in the pure sense. For contemporary tracks (released December 2019) check out "Rinne" or "Blooming" from their latest album. Band formed (by rhythm guitarist) in 2013. Aged between 26 and 30 - these ladies (lead guitar, bass, drums classically trained) are serious musos, as is the singer who has a stunning voice. I had just run across the girls a couple days prior, watched every last official video on their channel multiple times, made my first iTunes purchase EVER (and first money spent on new music in DECADES) when I called up a friend of mine who had played guitar professionally in Japan back in the 90s. Yesssssss!!! Beware, once you jump down this rabbit hole it's hard to get out! I'm hearing that there are soooo many good songs to chose from so you really cannot go wrong. Band-Maid is usually fairly easy with the copyrights so you should be okay. BABYMETAL is a bit tougher to deal with so be careful. You are reacting to a band whose professionalism, technical skills, and song writing puts them at the top my list of great Rock n Roll bands. Aside from a few 1980's super groups I know of no bands where each member have the skills of these ladies. They formed in 2013, Miku is the founder and spokes-pigeon. Then Kanami, Akane and MISA, who were working as session and backup musicians joined. Saiki, is the lead singer who you did not see. You should check the songs recommended, but I would add Dice and The Dragon Cries. The Dragon Cries was produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T Rex) in his New York studio and was released in Dec. 2019.

What I really like on this band is, that they treat each other totally equal. Everyone of them has some kind of special song where she can show their musicality and genius. Whenever I listen to Onset it is absolutly clear. Saiki I like most when she sings the acoustic songs and "puzzle" in the rock version. Such an amazing voice. Hope they keep to be such good friends and a real band.
"Onset" hasn't been included on any of their studio albums (so far). A studio version was released in Japan as a special bonus disk with two singles that came out a year or so ago "Glory" and "Bubble". You also got special acoustic studio versions of their songs "Puzzle" and "Anemone" as part of the package. They have done at least three other instrumental tracks, none of which have been released on CD or digitally. Mostly though they do vocal songs. Stylistically I describe them as broad spectrum rock, they range from pop-rock, through alt-rock, punk, hard rock to the borders of metal, sometimes in the same song. You may also find elements of funk, jazz, ska and latin rhythms in some songs. And then there's their alter ego band Band-Maiko. Enjoy the trip :)

They played in the US in July 2019 at LA Dallas And NY. In small clubs. They were great. And they formed in 2013. Miku the Rhythm guitarist formed the band.

One of the few really lucky moments of my life was when I was at the show in April of 2018 at Nagoya Diamond Hall where Band-Maid performed this song live for the first time. Nobody had any idea what was going on. A friend had gifted me ticket #25 (my ticket was like #175 out of 800), so I was right on the rail in between the lead singer (Saiki) and lead guitarist (Kanami). I, and everyone around me, was totally blown away by this. I can't stress this enough; if you get a chance to see this band live, don't miss it.

This set was from their concert at Zepp Tokyo Hall on April 13, 2018. This clip is from the BluRay/DVD disc (bonus) for Type A and Type B, CD issued under "Start Over" single. The Single had a issuing price of around $70 (for Type A); just the CD was for around $9. All are sold out. You can find the type A package on ebay or in Japan via proxy buyer service for around $250. The concert Disc had 26 song performances. Well worth the money at the time. Now, it's very pricey.

Welcome to the Band-Maid rabbit hole. The band was created when the rhythm guitarist decided she wanted to do a hard rock band with a cute maid aesthetic. She recruited the lead guitarist, who knew a drummer who knew a bassist. Miku, the founder decided she didn't have the right voice for lead vocals, so after some try-outs, they recruited Saiki from their recording company. Misa, in the little time I've known about this band, has easily become my favorite bassist. Akane's become my favorite drummer and Kanami's working her way into my favorite guitarists. This band's songwriting is absolutely phenomenal.
Nice to see a new reactor to Band-Maid! They do perform all over and were in the us last year. I went to a concert of theirs for the first time in LA and man were they great live. Tremendous sound and energy. Some bands just don't sound good live or vice-versa. Honestly they are so good live they sound just like a studio recording. They did have one date confirmed so far for the US at the Inkcarceration festival, but idk what will happen with the while coronavirus thing. Definitely listen to their live stuff if possible. Some of my favorites from them are Moratorium, The Non-Fiction Days, Alone and Puzzle. If you wanna go back to their very first video to see how far they've come, watch their mv for Thrill. More ballad-type songs like Daydreaming are great as well. As for songs from their latest album from December, Rinne and Blooming are popular choices along with the Tony Visconti produced song The Dragon Cries.

BANDMAID is an attacking band that delivers badass rock music to your face and give you an eargasm. Their instrumentations are flawless. Onset was really an intermission jam session on stage to let their lead singer to rest a bit because they 20 plus songs when they do a one-man tour. The song was something they came up with during the domination tour or written before hand and was played live only no studio version. To get this song you would have to buy their special CD album package deal, it can be pricey. But it's worth every penny.

I'm a musician and I have been playing keyboards since I was 9 years old and I have played every style of music in my lifetime. I have loved so many talented musicians in my life and I'm now 67 years old. I found beautiful talented women on Facebook back in 2014 and have followed them religiously since. Kanami Tono the lead guitarist is an amazing writer, composer and guitar player, she writes about 95% of the music. And Miku Kobato writes the majority of the lyrics. Kanami has been teaching Miku Kobato guitar since the beginning. The musicianship that they have is incredible. Who would have figured that after waiting all these years to find a talented band again would come from Japan and be 5 beautiful women dressed up in different styles of Maid's outfits. lol. If you loved Band Maid, you will probably fall in love with Lovebites. They are another all female Japanese band, except they sing in English & they play power metal. I recommend "When Destinies Align" as a good starting point with them.
Lovebites, Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin are my top three picks from Japan although there are so many great bands in Japan that's it's like splitting hairs. But those three would be my picks from pure skill at their instruments. Lovebites it is all about the twin guitar attack of Midori and Miyako. Gacharic Spin is a nice foil for the other two bands since they have a very different style.
As they say . . . You ain't seen nothin' yet! That's just an instrumental. Just wait until you see a full song! Their range is wide, so dive deep. They have something for everyone! Yes, they have played here, mostly smaller venues, but I doubt that will be the case next time. They're booked for a festival in Ohio. hopefully with more to come.

He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best. Excellent reaction! New sub. If you had told me 20 years ago that my favorite band would be adorable little Japanese girls dressed in maid outfits, I would have said you were crazy. But these ladies are really top notch in their ability and execution. This particular song was performed to give their vocalist, Saiki, a chance to rest her pipes a bit and the others to show off their skill. You'll get a lot of suggestions from subs. Choose any. They don't have a bad song in their catalog.

Either Puzzle (live) Don't you tell me (live) or Moratorium (live) from the same gig will give a better idea of their strength of song composition with vocals. (Onset is affectionately known by fans as Saiki's (vocalist) comfort break). Other tracks like Play are recommended - though musically impressive, not a "complete" track in the pure sense. For contemporary tracks (released December 2019) check out "Rinne" or "Blooming" from their latest album. Band formed (by rhythm guitarist) in 2013. Aged between 26 and 30 - these ladies (lead guitar, bass, drums classically trained) are serious musos, as is the singer who has a stunning voice. Miku (rhythm guitar and founder), fronts the band (taught to play guitar by Kanami - lead guitar)! 😀

I had just run across the girls a couple days prior, watched every last official video on their channel multiple times, made my first iTunes purchase EVER (and first money spent on new music in DECADES) when I called up a friend of mine who had played guitar professionally in Japan back in the 90s. "Dude, I just found THE MOST AMAZING Japanese band! and they're all girls! and all dressed up li...." "Oh, you found Band-Maid, here, let me send you a link" ONSET. I swore I had no idea it could get any more amazing than what I had already listened to.

Yesssssss!!! Beware, once you jump down this rabbit hole it's hard to get out! I'm hearing that there are soooo many good songs to chose from so you really cannot go wrong. Band-Maid is usually fairly easy with the copyrights so you should be okay. BABYMETAL is a bit tougher to deal with so be careful. Many want me to do a song called "Road to Resistance" but some channels receive a strike so I'm reluctant to do it.
Anyways, I think you did really well here. Make sure people know that you're a musician (guitarist) and that will earn you some additional respect. Get technical about what you see but not too technical; you don't want to bore people. Reaction videos are about entertainment. So drink your coffee and get hyped liked a mofo! I have a new Jinjer reaction coming out and I was jacked during the song I reacted to (Perennial). I can't wait to get it edited and uploaded.

You are reacting to a band whose professionalism, technical skills, and song writing puts them at the top my list of great Rock n Roll bands. Aside from a few 1980's super groups I know of no bands where each member have the skills of these ladies.
They formed in 2013, Miku is the founder and spokes-pigeon. Then Kanami, Akane and MISA, who were working as session and backup musicians joined. Saiki, is the lead singer who you did not see. You should check the songs recommended, but I would add Dice and The Dragon Cries. The Dragon Cries was produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T Rex) in his New York studio and was released in Dec. 2019.

What I really like on this band is, that they treat each other totally equal. Everyone of them has some kind of special song where she can show their musicality and genius.
Whenever I listen to Onset it is absolutly clear. Saiki I like most when she sings the acoustic songs and "puzzle" in the rock version. Such an amazing voice.

"Onset" hasn't been included on any of their studio albums (so far). A studio version was released in Japan as a special bonus disk with two singles that came out a year or so ago "Glory" and "Bubble". You also got special acoustic studio versions of their songs "Puzzle" and "Anemone" as part of the package. They have done at least three other instrumental tracks, none of which have been released on CD or digitally. Mostly though they do vocal songs. Stylistically I describe them as broad spectrum rock, they range from pop-rock, through alt-rock, punk, hard rock to the borders of metal, sometimes in the same song. You may also find elements of funk, jazz, ska and latin rhythms in some songs. And then there's their alter ego band Band-Maiko. Enjoy the trip :)

One of the few really lucky moments of my life was when I was at the show in April of 2018 at Nagoya Diamond Hall where Band-Maid performed this song live for the first time. Nobody had any idea what was going on. A friend had gifted me ticket #25 (my ticket was like #175 out of 800), so I was right on the rail in between the lead singer (Saiki) and lead guitarist (Kanami). I, and everyone around me, was totally blown away by this. I can't stress this enough; if you get a chance to see this band live, don't miss it.

This set was from their concert at Zepp Tokyo Hall on April 13, 2018. This clip is from the BluRay/DVD disc (bonus) for Type A and Type B, CD issued under "Start Over" single. The Single had a issuing price of around $70 (for Type A); just the CD was for around $9. All are sold out. You can find the type A package on ebay or in Japan via proxy buyer service for around $250. The concert Disc had 26 song performances. Well worth the money at the time. Now, it's very pricey.

Welcome to the Band-Maid rabbit hole. The band was created when the rhythm guitarist decided she wanted to do a hard rock band with a cute maid aesthetic. She recruited the lead guitarist, who knew a drummer who knew a bassist. Miku, the founder decided she didn't have the right voice for lead vocals, so after some try-outs, they recruited Saiki from their recording company. No one told Saiki about the maid uniforms until it was too late to back out.

Nice to see a new reactor to Band-Maid! They do perform all over and were in the us last year. I went to a concert of theirs for the first time in LA and man were they great live. Tremendous sound and energy. Some bands just don't sound good live or vice-versa. Honestly they are so good live they sound just like a studio recording. They did have one date confirmed so far for the US at the Inkcarceration festival, but idk what will happen with the while coronavirus thing. Definitely listen to their live stuff if possible. Some of my favorites from them are Moratorium, The Non-Fiction Days, Alone and Puzzle. If you wanna go back to their very first video to see how far they've come, watch their mv for Thrill. More ballad-type songs like Daydreaming are great as well. As for songs from their latest album from December, Rinne and Blooming are popular choices along with the Tony Visconti produced song The Dragon Cries.

Onset doesn't have vocals, they do it half way through 'one man show sets' (so about an hour in) to give the singer a break.

BANDMAID is an attacking band that delivers badass rock music to your face and give you an eargasm. Their instrumentations are flawless. Onset was really an intermission jam session on stage to let their lead singer to rest a bit because they 20 plus songs when they do a one-man tour. The song was something they came up with during the domination tour or written before hand and was played live only no studio version. To get this song you would have to buy their special CD album package deal, it can be pricey. But it's worth every penny.

glad you gave the maids a try-and yes tempo changes are part of their dna! amazing musicians and easy on the eyes as well-a lot of fans consider the song 'dice' as one of their best-not an instrumental-they have a kickass vocalist-you may want to check out the mv for dice as the production is very clean as opposed to some of the fancam recordings-it will blow you away-they have been around since 2013 and have 6 cd's with no throwaways

@@artemorbid Yes, they have from 80 to 100 songs, depending on whether you count the remakes from their alter-ego BAND-MAIKO. You may wish to check BAND-MAIKO stuff as well. It was an April 1st Fools Day joke in 2018, and then they've repeated it in 2019, issuing a full album of songs, one of which was an original creation, Gion-Cho ("the City of Gion," it's a place in Kioto where maiko dwell; maiko is an apprentice geisha). Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. Saiki Atsumi “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Miku Kobato "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 28 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!!

Akane Hirose "Gorilla" - Drums, 29 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party!
MISA "Assassin" - Bass, 27 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. I'm a musician and I have been playing keyboards since I was 9 years old and I have played every style of music in my lifetime. I have loved so many talented musicians in my life and I'm now 67 years old. I found beautiful talented women on Facebook back in 2014 and have followed them religiously since. Kanami Tono the lead guitarist is an amazing writer, composer and guitar player, she writes about 95% of the music. And Miku Kobato writes the majority of the lyrics. Kanami has been teaching Miku Kobato guitar since the beginning. The musicianship that they have is incredible. Who would have figured that after waiting all these years to find a talented band again would come from Japan and be 5 beautiful women dressed up in different styles of Maid's outfits. lol. I love your reaction and I will keep watching your channel. Keep Rocking

If you loved Band Maid, you will probably fall in love with Lovebites. They are another all female Japanese band, except they sing in English & they play power metal. I recommend "When Destinies Align" as a good starting point with them.

Lovebites, Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin are my top three picks from Japan although there are so many great bands in Japan that's it's like splitting hairs. But those three would be my picks from pure skill at their instruments. Lovebites it is all about the twin guitar attack of Midori and Miyako. Gacharic Spin is a nice foil for the other two bands since they have a very different style.

As they say . . . You ain't seen nothin' yet! That's just an instrumental. Just wait until you see a full song! Their range is wide, so dive deep. They have something for everyone! Yes, they have played here, mostly smaller venues, but I doubt that will be the case next time. They're booked for a festival in Ohio. hopefully with more to come.
