Thank you so much, just getting back into the hobby after 30 years or so and things have changed. This video helped, I added a Komodo brushless and Lizard Pro to my TRX4M and was frustrated when I got it all installed to see my receiver flashing red. I had to get a new receiver and for😢 it had to be binded. Appreciate the simple video.
I realize I'm late to this convo so pardon if you guy have found a solution, but if not try this: Ensure the transmitter is off. Remove all four AA batteries from the transmitter. Reinsert them and then repeat the process from this vid. I wouldn't expect that to be the solution, but as soon as I did that for mine, I was good to go.
Try to pull out batteries then turn transmitter on. It will deplete the residual juice. Turn off and reinstall batteries. Repeat bind process. Worked for me!
Hi, thank you for the video. I did as instructed and I still only have forward and reverse here and there. More forward than reverse. Back story of the RC. It's a less than year old Traxxas Slash 2wd bone stock. My son and I ran it maybe 5 to 8 times and it's been on a shelf for 6 months. We pulled it down, charged the battery, replaced batteries in the transmitter and am experiencing the issue I explained above. It's basically brand new and worked great when shelved. The battery reads fine and the motor is good when ohmed out. Any ideas? There's no way it sat and a part went bad just from sitting on a closet shelf lol.
Also when I try to recalibrate the XL5 ESC it just flashes green after I release the button after it beeps. It does nothing when I hold the trigger to engage forward to calibrate it. Same for reverse. I'm stumped.
The receiver inside the little box could be toast. Mine was having random issues like steering engaging throttle. I used my remote and tq reciever from my brushed rustler since the vxl one was sold out.
I did this and no luck. Idk what is going on? It's all stock except a couple of suspension upgrades. Also, if I plug the battery, turn on the truck, and turn it off it won't turn back on. I have to unplug and wait a while, even plugging it straight back in it won't turn right back on. Idk what is the deal. Any ideas? Is something shot?
Didn't help on my trx4 k5. Iv done all these little tips I was last playing with rc an run a 3s lipo down. Have been in some water I clean an dry everything out. Now after this one now my reciver and transmitter still blinking red but esc is green.
If you have to keep doing it over and over I'd guess either the Tx or Rx is going bad. Try binding the transmitter to another receiver and vice/versa. See which one is bad that way.
@@1TenthScaleRC so I guess it's the radio. I have more they all work but the one stops working and the light starts blinking in the car. If u turn the radio off and on it reconnects. If you turn it off and turn the car off then you have to rebind. But luckily my neighbor has an extra one so everything's cool now I got 3 kids with working stampedes. Thanks man

What if the receiver does not connect the controller when you tap or hold link
I still can’t get me receiver to bind. Blinking red, and I have tried multiple times.

What if they don’t bond cuz mine won’t
Same I thinks it’s something in the esc or receiver because my won’t connect either
Mine just keeps flashing red
Me too.... Have u figured it out yet
Why do I have to keep doing it

Mine just works for 1 second then dis connects anybody know why?
Dont work on my Slash 4x2 🤷♂️
So much easier with your instructions then the stupid traxxas. You show what needs to her done which is easier then saying
Miller Larry Clark Steven Rodriguez Maria
Miller Jose Walker Jessica Martin Brian
Nope
Nope to what?
Didn’t work sorry
Might be bad hardware or a TQ vs TQI...
Thick Skinned RC it was a tqi
Just as bad as all the written instructions lol. “Plug the battery in and turn the transmitter on first”.
My light wont turn on at all for the transmitter
