May 25th 2021 Update: Due to an increase of quickness from 2 seconds to 2.5 (or from 4 seconds to 5 seconds with max boon duration) If you are in a group with alacrity you can keep up quickness with Blast Gyro, Bulwark Gyro, Bypass Coating, and Bandage Self. I believe you no longer need to spam a 3rd utility skill (previously purge gyro or shredder gyro) to keep up quickness. This allows you to pick another option based on the encounter such as Battering Ram for more interupts, elixir gun for more healing, etc.
oh then that would mean u can replace one of them with elixir R which has a VERY useful tool belt skill, which is that it revives up to 5 targets buuuuut has a 90 sec cool down un triated
I've slotted in Elixir Gun (instead of shredder), and swapped to HGH for extra might. Adds another 10 stacks to your repertoire (plus the heal from elixir gun, and some extra condi cleanses)
In regards to Runes, I was wondering if you had considered Rebirth or Water runes as a replacement for Monk runes? That 10% outgoing heals is very strong but Water gives 25% boon duration instead of 15%, with the same Healing Power, and Rebirth gives you an additional 125 healing power plus a once-every-90-seconds get out of death free card. Water might let you move to Minstrels instead of Givers for more tankiness, and Rebirth would definitely give you an edge up if you're lacking confidence in your ability to dodge certain one-hit-KO's.
Did the whole grind to Fractal Goddess with a Scrapper Support over the past years, and this is basically the moment I've always been waiting for :D I'm also happy the "jack of all trades" Engineer is back with Celestial.
I've loved playing heal scrap in the very few opportunities I've been given on it so far in raids this past year. When I read the balance preview notes, I'm pretty sure everyone in VC with me temporarily lost hearing from my excitement haha. Since the 11th I've been given a few opportunities to do quick-healscrap in both raids and strikes, and I am LOVING it! I have been running full harriers + monk runes since I learned healscrap pre-quickness, but have been witness to (cause of) the folly of a mistimed bulwark gyro sans a shield 5 block, and can DEFINITELY see the utility in bringing some toughness (or toughness & vitality) all the time. I've recently began swapping some of my trinkets to Minstrel's during River and Statues (esp. if throwing for eyes) because the toughness and vitality just give more breathing room, so if your tank is max toughness, or it's not a toughness tank fight, or you're tanking, yeah totally swap stuff out between Harrier's, Minstrel's, or even Giver's, or whatever until you find something you like! Just keep that BD and healing power up! (Please also have full harriers available to swap to in case your tank only runs a +5 toughness infusion and you don't plan on tanking.
Been enjoying the qrapper streams a lot! Hope you keep playing it. A focused potato is a lot more alluring than one would imagine. Anyway, this guide is SUPER helpful. I just created an engi after the patch and nothing is more overwhelming than being thrown into a new class with new mechanics and not knowing how anything works or if you're doing things correctly...specially if you jump straight into high level fractals with it with the intention of playing the very important role of healer (yea, that was quite stupid of me) so I'm very grateful for this guide. Cause without this I might even have stopped playing engineer, a class I enjoy very much, because I keep switching back to my healbrand to properly finish the fractal!
Waiting for Muk to get Quip and Shooshadoo =3. I think its awesome that Anet gave another class a viable support build for end game content, potential needed tweeks aside. We tend to use the name of the elite spec + it's most coveted utility or boon to name builds. Holosmith and core engi also has medkits. So people probably won't be satisfied unless it's more specific.

If you run harrier's in a raid there is a few things you can do: 1: use shredder (or purge, if needed) gyro + blast gyro and no bulwark gyro (if no stability is needed from you), since as you said, you can die easily from it (more likely from teammates' mistakes of taking damage), and use your function gyro as a source of superspeed instead of using it as a res-tool. If you NEED a res-tool you can use Elixir R (the toolbelt skill is a similar sized res field that resurrects for more than 150% of peoples' downstate health over time but has higher cooldown). Your superspeed/quickness applications then are: toolbelt heal, toolbelt blast gyro, function gyro, shredder gyro, blast gyro. 2: do NOT be in the tanks subgroup, the tank usually is the one taking the most damage. This can substantially reduce the amount of self-damage you take from bulwark gyro. 3: (I don't recommend this) use rune of the rebirth. This will save you from killing yourself with bulwark gyro, while giving needed healing power + boon duration stats. Few recommendations from my personal experiences using the build since the patch. I much prefer the damage variant, though.
Ty for your experience, i want to try the build, but I'm not that well versed in seeing improvements in given stuff (mostly because the builds given are supposed to be the best already)
@drkmgic With the new patch, you can run a full set of Diviner stats armor, the rest Berserker stats (weapons+trinkets) to be at 25% boon duration. You'll basically be a power damage dealer with quickness access (using Medic Gyro, Blast Gyro, Shredder Gyro, Function Gyro and Blast Coating off-cooldown with permanent alacrity will keep up quickness permanently, and you can take Sneak Gyro to help out with some duration if you want to. Scrapper has no good elite skills for damage dealing so might aswell). Using the gear as I described will net you 25% boon duration and 75% crit chance (with banners+spotter) which is the sweet spot for power engineer specs to be in, as traits give you 25% crit chance to top it off. You will not be a healer or support, you do have access to bits of might and protection but the main goal is dealing damage and granting quickness. For the most part a "Condition Quickness Firebrand" or "StM (Seize the Moment) Power Chronomancer" will be better than the Scrapper choice, mostly due to the utility they can bring (damage is quite comparable), while scrapper is locked into using all those Gyro's and stuff. Scrapper is a very viable choice for 5-man quickness application at the moment, but don't expect many groups to accept you over the other choices as that is what people are used to.
You can use rune of water for another 10% boon duration and wear more minstrel pieces, plus you can buy it from TP or craft it yourself (as opposed to rune of the monk which requires dungeon currency). And now that we have two gyros that do damage, mixing in a few pieces of harrier’s gear might not be a bad idea as your damage generate barriers, which also makes you more tanky.
Our builds were almost the exact same! The Giver's gear was a really nice idea, though, and I think I'll try it. The only other major difference was that I've been using Runes of Rebirth instead (the coming back from the dead bit does help make you tankier, lol)! Thanks again :)

The heal gyro is a must! It provides quickness when you cast a heal skill because of the heal trait at the very start of the gyro, and once the gyro is ending because of the well quickness traits. Then you can trait that turrets provide boons and equip a turret to provide fury. And because the heal gyro is sooo good you don't need to use the blast gyro. And can swap it out for another gyro. If you use the heal, blast, and stealth gyro, Combined with the mandatory turret for fury, you get 1 free skill slot for anything you want. (elixir gun?)
Every time stealth gyro pulses, it turns off your allies attacks when they go stealth, drastically lowering group damage. Do not recommend for quickness uptime.
You actually can give fury with experimental turrets + rifle turret. You can replace the shredder gyro for that, yes you'll lose on one source of quickness but you should have 100% BD anyway which would mean you can still upkeep quick, and you get to give fury aswell.
Great guide! Stats wise, you should really only be going for toughness as a tank otherwise youre taking away the chance to heal for a larger amount. Ive played full harrier with this build and with bulwark and the damage you take is fine usually. Id only go for toughness on bosses like Cairn for example because of having to split from the group and other such fights ^^. Shield warning: Dont use shield reflect on bosses with those fun projectiles that hityour buddies! (Cairn thingy). I usually switch to hammer and switch traits, just because Im worried of using the skill! Purge gyro: MEGA cleanse with shredder gyro combo is pretty nice for some cleansing for your peeps. Throw it in instead of bulwark and that combo works great! Also if newer peeps are worried about uptime, grab that stealth gyro too instead of mortar. Either way, stat wise youre probably pretty golden, just a thought about toughness ^^. Also LOVE the editing!

I don't know if it has been changed, but couple of years ago you were able to push boon duration above 100%, it's just the tooltip doesn't show it, but if you've mouseovered an a boon-applying ability its boon duration would still go up.
If you ask me, I think the trait "HGH" (from Alchemy) would be an excellent alternative if you don't need any condi cleanse on a fight, and then swap a utility skill for Elixir Gun. Elixir Gun has 2 elixirs on relatively short cooldowns, so if you can estimate when they get off cooldown, you can get some nice might, and plus Mortar Kit also has a elixir (the mortar kit 5 heal), might help with might, but I haven't tested it so I'm not entirely sure. (and Elixir Gun 4 does some decent pulsing power damage as well, but that doesn't matter for a heal build, just a thing I wanted to note.)
I used to play Healpper in WvW and was able to put out ungodly amounts of healing by myself. And now... it looks like my engie got an upgrade! Just wow!
Question! When using damage dampener, do the second hit also account for damage reduction from armor/protection? If so, that would mean that that 33% damage taken later would be damage reduced twice.
Don't quote me on this as I don't have a whole lot of experience of this game, but from a programing (And design) perspective it would make more sense to first split the damage (With no reduction) and factor in the reduction when applying the damage. That way the damage does NOT get reduced twice plus you can factor in other boons or damage altering mechanics into the math
I mean, I really like rune of earth for prot holo, but it seems subpar here, other than boosting healing received, which in turn boost healing given by the inventions trait.
After so many time playing and testing with the heal scrapper i also get some ideas 1- U dont need 100% BD, u can go 95% BD too cap the 4 seconds of quickness from the trait (kinetic Accelerator) with that in mind i swap the sigil of concentraction for renewal to get more heals while swaping kits around 2- The mortar combo fields are nice but on some fights its actually useless instead of that going sneak gyro can help to main the quickness and give you 1 slot on your utilities to swap on some fights like samarog u can take personal ram with your shield for to actually do the druid job and push skinny to the boss 3- On some fights as deimos where the healing pressure its not that high u can go medic gyro for a lot more fo SS( since medic gyro pulse SS on cast and last pulse of the well its 8seconds of quickness and 10seconds of SS with only 1 skill) also the F1 on the gyro can help to main 100% prot for your subgroup 4- Purge gyro and elixir gun are top tier skills on fight like SH and Mattias where conditions are really a problem 5- Function Gyro(F5) can be used to main quick if are not using if u dont ress no one with it the cooldown its 25second always 6- Using Elixir R with HGH trait on the alchemy trait line the tool belt skill the revive 5 allies at 1200range faster than using your function gyro with 72seconds cooldown, its not always useful but its something good to keep in mind and that some of my ideas Thanks!! nice video btw lol
2 - a quick note on sneak gyro, constantly applying stealth to your party turns OFF their attacks EVERY APPLICATION. I do not recommend using this for quickness, but rather when you need stealth because you will lower your groups damage severely during its use. The rest of this was very informative, thank you!
I overlooked this and tried it after reading this, it is definitely tricky to line up but it does work, good catch! This gives around 17+stacks of might instead of 11, but still not 100% uptime. (good to know though)
Been running heal engi since before the update, usually called myself a scraptank. Competing with HFBs is nice, but we could definitely use some more quickness uptime. :D
alchemy middle trait lane, pick the top one and use rifle turret should give you 100% fury uptime if you have some bdr ( you would drop a heal on toolbar use though) so thats depending on the group and boss, i drop the mortar kit as you do 0 damage anyways and just use sneak gyro and the f5 skill to upkeep quickness and free up a slot for the rifle turret which in turn gives you a really good toolbelt skill ( if you want to push some damage, while in medkit ) there is also a q dps version of this that uses hammer and div gear, you will have almost no healing output to others but you bring cc and 26k dps with 100% quickness uptime ( sorta like a q chrono but with more utility thx to toolbar skills)
Possibly, but for the short term I'd say you wouldn't really level towards this. It is a scrapper (which is unlocked typically after max level) and a healer (so does no damage, cant kill things well). Typically you would level as something more damage oriented, then swap over to this when ready for some group gameplay.
Tried it in T4, worked extraordinary well with mixes Giver's + Harriers(trinkets) gear. Half-half. Old CMs can be quite challenging but works as well if ppl know what to do.
got to admit, I have had this build for the last 2 years and it has been one of my mains whenever I know I am gonna need to stay tanky =) enjoy , its fun and if you wanna spam some pve the flamethrower is a nice alt skill

I had an Engi that I stopped leveling after getting bored of the grind. I went ahead and use my level boost in another class. I think I might revisit my Engi again, playing with perma quickness sounds interesting although I don't think Scrappers are that viable.
the ONLY thing that doesnt compare, is that both fb and chrono iterations have a heal/tank version and a dmg version while the qrapper is just heal. Looking forward to a power/condi quick scrapper
If one were willing to forgo a bit of defense, they could try swapping in pieces of Plaguedoctor (Condi, Vit, Heal, Concentration) or Seraph (Prec, Condi, Heal, Con).
I was so hyped for this. For some reason I love non magic healers in games and I wish we saw it more. Like if FF14 added an chemist class or WoW a healer spec for rogues.
Also sheild can blast and hammer can blast too with leap of that kit (i forgot the name)and may be shield blast u might get near 25 might i haven't test it
I learned that in this comment section. With shield blast and medkit 5 blast during blast gyro (which is a bit difficult to do) You get up to 17 stacks of might for a time (not 100%, but an improvement). So I learned something here!
Only issue is.... Givers' is locked behind a winter event, and Harrier gear is expensive AF - the recipes' alone is almost 150gold, that leaves a fairly accessible Minstrel, but then there isn't enough Concentration, then there is conversion, and just making the insignas, that''s a hard payday - yeah, I would .LOVE to play this as I love my Engineer, but. :/
One possible alternative to free up a utility skill slot is to use Superior Rune of the Zephyrite, which grants 6.5 seconds of superspeed when using an elite skill with a 10-second cooldown. To get 100% quickness uptime without alacrity, you will need to use Mortar Kit, Blast Gyro, Bypass Coating (Blast Gyro toolbelt), Bandage Self (medkit toolbelt), and Bulwark gyro off cooldown, which allows you to always save either Function Gyro or Bulwark Gyro for situational use. With alacrity, both Function Gyro and Bulwark Gyro can be saved for situational use. Either way, you will notice that Purge Gyro/Shredder Gyro is no longer required for quickness maintenance, freeing up one utility slot for something like Elixir Gun. One downside of this setup is the need to use Mortar Kit every 10 seconds, which makes the skill priority rotation harder, although there will be a bit of timing padding after using the Function and/or Bulwark Gyros. A second downside is that it locks you into the Mortar Kit elite skill. Lastly, in order to get 100% boon duration, you will need full Giver's (or Harrier's) gear. If using full ascended equipment it requires 16-18 concentration infusions or the use of a concentration food instead of an outgoing healing increase food. For full exotic gear, all of the trinkets will require Platinum Doubloons for their upgrade slots. Rune of the zephyrite only gives you superspeed, not your party. So if you rely on it to give yourself 100% quickness uptime they will not have 100% uptime.
T4 fractals? Yeah I healed challenge modes today, it does fine. Find a teammate with alacrity that can provide some might/fury to cover all buffs (new mirage is perfect match with this build) Then bring 3 dps (make 1 a banner warrior to go hard). Groups really love superspeeding through the fractal.
I'm running heal scrapper on wvw using minstrel gear, Im not doing quickness atm, would this build be viable in wvw too? If I go for this build on pve will I have trouble finding groups as I'm not giving alac and full might stacks?
Quickness is a must have in wvw, go for monk runes and the cleanse on prot trait for extra cleanse. Dont know about pve though. Also shredder into cleanse gyro for big cleanse while moving (better while crossing ennemy zerg)
You´d lose Vitality if you´re running mainly Giver's for the concentration but gain toughness. The rotation is very tightly timed if you want to maximize boons and having alac is pretty much required. Not sure if running Bulwark is a good idea, but this build should work in WvW with some adaptations.
About might and fury it's lie, you can take rune of pack and upkeep 25might, and 50% of fury, most classes also have 30-50% self furt uptime, so it's not problem, also about quickness i agree 2s is bit low, but togheter with alac you can easly spam quickness witchout adional gyro.

The shield skill 5 will block the damage you get from Bulwark Gyro's Watchful Eye. Keep that in mind in case you screwed up.

This is definitely a build I'm going to try out - Firebrand is cool and all, but this seems like such an accomplishment to do! :D
My main is an Engi, so having more chances of getting in a group is great for me.

Ty for your experience, i want to try the build, but I'm not that well versed in seeing improvements in given stuff (mostly because the builds given are supposed to be the best already)

@drkmgic With the new patch, you can run a full set of Diviner stats armor, the rest Berserker stats (weapons+trinkets) to be at 25% boon duration. You'll basically be a power damage dealer with quickness access (using Medic Gyro, Blast Gyro, Shredder Gyro, Function Gyro and Blast Coating off-cooldown with permanent alacrity will keep up quickness permanently, and you can take Sneak Gyro to help out with some duration if you want to. Scrapper has no good elite skills for damage dealing so might aswell).
Using the gear as I described will net you 25% boon duration and 75% crit chance (with banners+spotter) which is the sweet spot for power engineer specs to be in, as traits give you 25% crit chance to top it off. You will not be a healer or support, you do have access to bits of might and protection but the main goal is dealing damage and granting quickness.
For the most part a "Condition Quickness Firebrand" or "StM (Seize the Moment) Power Chronomancer" will be better than the Scrapper choice, mostly due to the utility they can bring (damage is quite comparable), while scrapper is locked into using all those Gyro's and stuff.
Scrapper is a very viable choice for 5-man quickness application at the moment, but don't expect many groups to accept you over the other choices as that is what people are used to.

You can use rune of water for another 10% boon duration and wear more minstrel pieces, plus you can buy it from TP or craft it yourself (as opposed to rune of the monk which requires dungeon currency).
And now that we have two gyros that do damage, mixing in a few pieces of harrier’s gear might not be a bad idea as your damage generate barriers, which also makes you more tanky.
Mortar 5 + Mortar 1 Spam inside provides a lot of healing too!

Our builds were almost the exact same! The Giver's gear was a really nice idea, though, and I think I'll try it. The only other major difference was that I've been using Runes of Rebirth instead (the coming back from the dead bit does help make you tankier, lol)! Thanks again :)

The heal gyro is a must! It provides quickness when you cast a heal skill because of the heal trait at the very start of the gyro, and once the gyro is ending because of the well quickness traits.
Then you can trait that turrets provide boons and equip a turret to provide fury.
And because the heal gyro is sooo good you don't need to use the blast gyro. And can swap it out for another gyro.
If you use the heal, blast, and stealth gyro, Combined with the mandatory turret for fury, you get 1 free skill slot for anything you want. (elixir gun?)
Every time stealth gyro pulses, it turns off your allies attacks when they go stealth, drastically lowering group damage. Do not recommend for quickness uptime.
You actually can give fury with experimental turrets + rifle turret. You can replace the shredder gyro for that, yes you'll lose on one source of quickness but you should have 100% BD anyway which would mean you can still upkeep quick, and you get to give fury aswell.

Stats wise, you should really only be going for toughness as a tank otherwise youre taking away the chance to heal for a larger amount.
Ive played full harrier with this build and with bulwark and the damage you take is fine usually. Id only go for toughness on bosses like Cairn for example because of having to split from the group and other such fights ^^.
Shield warning: Dont use shield reflect on bosses with those fun projectiles that hityour buddies! (Cairn thingy). I usually switch to hammer and switch traits, just because Im worried of using the skill!
Purge gyro: MEGA cleanse with shredder gyro combo is pretty nice for some cleansing for your peeps. Throw it in instead of bulwark and that combo works great!
Also if newer peeps are worried about uptime, grab that stealth gyro too instead of mortar.
Either way, stat wise youre probably pretty golden, just a thought about toughness ^^. Also LOVE the editing!

I'm glad Anet is spreading essential support boon to other class. Now in wish they would spread alacrity next.
I don't know if it has been changed, but couple of years ago you were able to push boon duration above 100%, it's just the tooltip doesn't show it, but if you've mouseovered an a boon-applying ability its boon duration would still go up.

If you ask me, I think the trait "HGH" (from Alchemy) would be an excellent alternative if you don't need any condi cleanse on a fight, and then swap a utility skill for Elixir Gun. Elixir Gun has 2 elixirs on relatively short cooldowns, so if you can estimate when they get off cooldown, you can get some nice might, and plus Mortar Kit also has a elixir (the mortar kit 5 heal), might help with might, but I haven't tested it so I'm not entirely sure. (and Elixir Gun 4 does some decent pulsing power damage as well, but that doesn't matter for a heal build, just a thing I wanted to note.)

I used to play Healpper in WvW and was able to put out ungodly amounts of healing by myself. And now... it looks like my engie got an upgrade! Just wow!
Question! When using damage dampener, do the second hit also account for damage reduction from armor/protection? If so, that would mean that that 33% damage taken later would be damage reduced twice.
Don't quote me on this as I don't have a whole lot of experience of this game, but from a programing (And design) perspective it would make more sense to first split the damage (With no reduction) and factor in the reduction when applying the damage. That way the damage does NOT get reduced twice plus you can factor in other boons or damage altering mechanics into the math

I mean, I really like rune of earth for prot holo, but it seems subpar here, other than boosting healing received, which in turn boost healing given by the inventions trait.
After so many time playing and testing with the heal scrapper i also get some ideas
1- U dont need 100% BD, u can go 95% BD too cap the 4 seconds of quickness from the trait (kinetic Accelerator) with that in mind i swap the sigil of concentraction for renewal to get more heals while swaping kits around
2- The mortar combo fields are nice but on some fights its actually useless instead of that going sneak gyro can help to main the quickness and give you 1 slot on your utilities to swap on some fights like samarog u can take personal ram with your shield for to actually do the druid job and push skinny to the boss
3- On some fights as deimos where the healing pressure its not that high u can go medic gyro for a lot more fo SS( since medic gyro pulse SS on cast and last pulse of the well its 8seconds of quickness and 10seconds of SS with only 1 skill) also the F1 on the gyro can help to main 100% prot for your subgroup
4- Purge gyro and elixir gun are top tier skills on fight like SH and Mattias where conditions are really a problem
5- Function Gyro(F5) can be used to main quick if are not using if u dont ress no one with it the cooldown its 25second always
6- Using Elixir R with HGH trait on the alchemy trait line the tool belt skill the revive 5 allies at 1200range faster than using your function gyro with 72seconds cooldown, its not always useful but its something good to keep in mind

2 - a quick note on sneak gyro, constantly applying stealth to your party turns OFF their attacks EVERY APPLICATION. I do not recommend using this for quickness, but rather when you need stealth because you will lower your groups damage severely during its use.

you can use sh 4 with blast gyros fire field for some extra might and can also use med kit 5
I overlooked this and tried it after reading this, it is definitely tricky to line up but it does work, good catch! This gives around 17+stacks of might instead of 11, but still not 100% uptime. (good to know though)
Been running heal engi since before the update, usually called myself a scraptank. Competing with HFBs is nice, but we could definitely use some more quickness uptime. :D

alchemy middle trait lane, pick the top one and use rifle turret should give you 100% fury uptime if you have some bdr ( you would drop a heal on toolbar use though) so thats depending on the group and boss, i drop the mortar kit as you do 0 damage anyways and just use sneak gyro and the f5 skill to upkeep quickness and free up a slot for the rifle turret which in turn gives you a really good toolbelt skill ( if you want to push some damage, while in medkit )
there is also a q dps version of this that uses hammer and div gear, you will have almost no healing output to others but you bring cc and 26k dps with 100% quickness uptime ( sorta like a q chrono but with more utility thx to toolbar skills)

Possibly, but for the short term I'd say you wouldn't really level towards this. It is a scrapper (which is unlocked typically after max level) and a healer (so does no damage, cant kill things well). Typically you would level as something more damage oriented, then swap over to this when ready for some group gameplay.
If pistol is the lowest priority, wouldn't you change the auto attack from skill 1 to skill 3 so it always tries to daze?

Tried it in T4, worked extraordinary well with mixes Giver's + Harriers(trinkets) gear. Half-half.
Old CMs can be quite challenging but works as well if ppl know what to do.
got to admit, I have had this build for the last 2 years and it has been one of my mains whenever I know I am gonna need to stay tanky =) enjoy , its fun and if you wanna spam some pve the flamethrower is a nice alt skill

I had an Engi that I stopped leveling after getting bored of the grind. I went ahead and use my level boost in another class. I think I might revisit my Engi again, playing with perma quickness sounds interesting although I don't think Scrappers are that viable.
How does this compare with the current meta? Do you think this will replace any role, such as druid healer in raids and strikes?
Nah druid is perf in raids because easy 25 might and good heals/mobility . But as off heal this would work great :)
the ONLY thing that doesnt compare, is that both fb and chrono iterations have a heal/tank version and a dmg version while the qrapper is just heal. Looking forward to a power/condi quick scrapper
If one were willing to forgo a bit of defense, they could try swapping in pieces of Plaguedoctor (Condi, Vit, Heal, Concentration) or Seraph (Prec, Condi, Heal, Con).
I was so hyped for this. For some reason I love non magic healers in games and I wish we saw it more. Like if FF14 added an chemist class or WoW a healer spec for rogues.

I learned that in this comment section. With shield blast and medkit 5 blast during blast gyro (which is a bit difficult to do) You get up to 17 stacks of might for a time (not 100%, but an improvement). So I learned something here!

Only issue is.... Givers' is locked behind a winter event, and Harrier gear is expensive AF - the recipes' alone is almost 150gold, that leaves a fairly accessible Minstrel, but then there isn't enough Concentration, then there is conversion, and just making the insignas, that''s a hard payday - yeah, I would .LOVE to play this as I love my Engineer, but. :/
just relised that superior rune of the fire brand gives 20% quickness duration so that might be worth looking into

One possible alternative to free up a utility skill slot is to use Superior Rune of the Zephyrite, which grants 6.5 seconds of superspeed when using an elite skill with a 10-second cooldown. To get 100% quickness uptime without alacrity, you will need to use Mortar Kit, Blast Gyro, Bypass Coating (Blast Gyro toolbelt), Bandage Self (medkit toolbelt), and Bulwark gyro off cooldown, which allows you to always save either Function Gyro or Bulwark Gyro for situational use. With alacrity, both Function Gyro and Bulwark Gyro can be saved for situational use. Either way, you will notice that Purge Gyro/Shredder Gyro is no longer required for quickness maintenance, freeing up one utility slot for something like Elixir Gun. One downside of this setup is the need to use Mortar Kit every 10 seconds, which makes the skill priority rotation harder, although there will be a bit of timing padding after using the Function and/or Bulwark Gyros. A second downside is that it locks you into the Mortar Kit elite skill.
Lastly, in order to get 100% boon duration, you will need full Giver's (or Harrier's) gear. If using full ascended equipment it requires 16-18 concentration infusions or the use of a concentration food instead of an outgoing healing increase food. For full exotic gear, all of the trinkets will require Platinum Doubloons for their upgrade slots.

Rune of the zephyrite only gives you superspeed, not your party. So if you rely on it to give yourself 100% quickness uptime they will not have 100% uptime.

T4 fractals? Yeah I healed challenge modes today, it does fine. Find a teammate with alacrity that can provide some might/fury to cover all buffs (new mirage is perfect match with this build) Then bring 3 dps (make 1 a banner warrior to go hard). Groups really love superspeeding through the fractal.
I'm running heal scrapper on wvw using minstrel gear, Im not doing quickness atm, would this build be viable in wvw too? If I go for this build on pve will I have trouble finding groups as I'm not giving alac and full might stacks?
Quickness is a must have in wvw, go for monk runes and the cleanse on prot trait for extra cleanse. Dont know about pve though.
Also shredder into cleanse gyro for big cleanse while moving (better while crossing ennemy zerg)
You´d lose Vitality if you´re running mainly Giver's for the concentration but gain toughness.
The rotation is very tightly timed if you want to maximize boons and having alac is pretty much required.
Not sure if running Bulwark is a good idea, but this build should work in WvW with some adaptations.

About might and fury it's lie, you can take rune of pack and upkeep 25might, and 50% of fury, most classes also have 30-50% self furt uptime, so it's not problem, also about quickness i agree 2s is bit low, but togheter with alac you can easly spam quickness witchout adional gyro.
Combat Medic Scrapper would be a nice name.
