I’ve been watching for years and am still in awe of your work. Congrats on getting a 3D printer, just too cool. Plus side with heels, they hide the buckle, and with flat shoes, you might be walking/stepping on it. Armor looks amazing as always. Have a fabulous day Taylor 😃

New subscriber with a very VERY late question: do you remember how long the armour parts of this build took you to make, roughly? Looking to start my first armour build but I'm worried I might run out of time :)

Flemeth took me two months total to build, and that was with everything including the wig! I'd say all the armor was about two weeks or so, just a few hours a day. You can save yourself a ton of time by seeing if there are premade patterns for what you're looking for, Kamui cosplay has a ton! :)

I know its been a while since this video was made, but what was that paper you used at the start to get a template to cut out of the foam

What strength of velcro did you end up using? I put some velcro on my foam build and it ended up being... too strong... Ripped up some of the foam when trying to take it off for the first time

I just use regular Velcro from Amazon, cheap stuff. I've had that happen before with that like 20 pound EXTREME Velcro lol, so since then I've just been SUPER careful taking stuff off, I hold one side down while slowly taking off the other side and that seems to help!

I also use hot glue to attach the Velcro bc the adhesive that's already on it isn't that strong

How did you attach them behind?

bless you I struggled so much with patterning this and gave up then I found your video. How did you pattern out that dang calf piece on the back of your shin? I am new to foam armor making and it confounds me.

I hope it helps a bit!!! 💗 And I didn't show much of that because I ended up resizing it a bit bc it just didn't have enough shape for my liking lol, but I fully wrapped my leg in the clear wrap and tape and cut the pattern off. It's kinda hard to explain but I also added like half an inch to each side of the back of the calf, just at the top half to make it round a bit more. Ah, I wish I filmed more of that 😭 If it helps, Kamuicosplay has a bunch of good leg armor patterns with nice shapes!! I've used them before and really liked how they turned out.
