Your wedding was perfect, who needs a wedding planner? It was all about you and your family, and friends, just as it should be. Having the right life partner is the most important thing, the rest is 'stuff'. Now you have God's greatest gift, adorable Enrique, (not forgetting Julie) as part of your family. I think too many people waste a fortune on having a good 'show', which perhaps is sometimes subconsciously a cover for doubt about the relationship. Making it look lovely won't make it be lovely. I have noticed that so many couples who spend the most often end up parting quite soon after, before the wedding is even paid for!! You two are proof that overkill with 'stuff' isn't the point of the day, being truly happy is ❤ (I have to say though, having microphones during the service would have made me even more anxious! Oh my, you guys are such a handsome couple. Even now. Not many hold their relationships as long as you have. Keep it up. Much like myself, our wedding was simple. We had no flowers, I had to order the cake, my dress was not store bought, and flowers. My sister refused to wear a blue dress, she wanted lavender, so my younge sisters wore other colors. Reception was at home, no dance, no pictures. And we were on to a new live far away. Thank you for sharing.
Your wedding was lovely❤️ I met my husband 1969 (I was 17 he was 18). Engaged 1970, married 1971 had our 9lb son 14 months later. I’d just turned 20. My auntie made my dress. Cost $50 for material. I didn’t own any make up so just borrowed mums lipstick. Put big rollers in my own hair . Husband was in Police Force for first 25 of now 53 years married. My son is now 52 and daughter 48🦋🦋🦋

I was 21 1/2, my husband was 23. Never heard of a wedding planner; didn’t need one anyway (I’m very organized and efficient ☺️). Gowns, tuxedos, attendants. And our church family, family members, and friends provided all the food for the wedding reception. (We also didn’t have much money between us. Young, but so in love… Now, there are three beautiful children, and six grandchildren, and one grandson-in-law. So blessed! I wish all God’s best blessings on you and your precious family. 🙏💞🙏

My auntie made my dress. Cost $50 for material. I didn’t own any make up so just borrowed mums lipstick. Put big rollers in my own hair . Husband was in Police Force for first 25 of now 53 years married. My son is now 52 and daughter 48🦋🦋🦋

Oh, both so beautiful! (Still are, and Baby Henrique!) Thank you for sharing this with us. 🥰 Also, it reminded me that we planned our wedding in a month, as well - way back in May 1970. I was 21 1/2, my husband was 23. Never heard of a wedding planner; didn’t need one anyway (I’m very organized and efficient ☺️). Gowns, tuxedos, attendants. And our church family, family members, and friends provided all the food for the wedding reception. (We also didn’t have much money between us. Young, but so in love… Now, there are three beautiful children, and six grandchildren, and one grandson-in-law. So blessed! I wish all God’s best blessings on you and your precious family. 🙏💞🙏
