We just finished hanging wallpaper in our kitchen. The pantry looked so shabby we wallpapered that as well. It gives you such a sense of satisfaction when you get things just the way you want. You will love your kitchen when it is done.

Kirsten and Joerg, check online because you can get burner covers that look like small sheets of fake glass (I don't know what they really are) that you put between the induction stove and your beloved old pots to act as converters so you can still use the oldies but goodies! And they are easily removed for cleaning the stovetop. So excited for your new kitchen!

Don't even think of apologising for the coming mess as most of us have been there, and you'll look back at this one day and laugh. I once was having an extension right across three room at the back of the house. At the same time I had three French scouts staying for a week!! They thought it was amazing running down planks, over the footings and into the garden and back again. I'm still here to tell the tale 😂. Good luck with the kitchen, looking forward to seeing it emerge from the mess xx
The copper pot: If pots don't work on the induction stove, I heard of special plates one can lay between the pot and the induction stove surface, and you can use the pot. I really love, love,love to watch this kitchen renovation video, it's so relaxing and inspiring after a long days work.
I have a junk drawer at home and each time I moved I thought I would be organized in this drawer. It starts out that way but doesn’t last for long 😅, I absolutely love your beautiful home and yes I get inspired by watching your decorating ideas and I love to watch your cooking. I agree with the colors. So beautiful. We had our carpets torn out last year for a solid flooring. Our house was torn apart for a week. Well worth the clutter and mess. I know you will love your new kitchen. You have great taste and I wouldn't worry about your choices. What a difference it will be for you.

The colors are beautiful and the paint is very good to use.I am painting for 4 months now and can’t stop either. Thee cottage was quite neglected and I have to paint everything. But it makes me mindful too and enjoy seeeing it turning out so beautiful

Dear Kerstin I do understand how you feel. We just had our kitchen remodeled and it was a mess. I had a drawer like yours and loads of stuff to throw away or give to charity. We also had a « small temporary kitchen » with a small induction burner an old table and a basket with essentials in it. All my book shelves had to be covered and my frames and decor put away. I just cannot relax in chaos, it was a tough month. A few things still need to be done in our new kitchen but we’re getting there 😊 A few weeks away are in order to relax after all this « necessary but wonderful » mess. I love your choices as always. My husband and I have done a lot of renovation in our married life and it was always so fun to make choices and then see the fruits of our labor.
