When it all comes together it sounds like my wash machine on spin cycle, wash-spin-repeat, which sounds clean and precise when this exercise is executed correctly... Be the 5%, the sacrifice is worth 💯% of the effort, that's a huge return and a priceless lesson in exchange for perseverance, dedication, and desire to be better and this man passing down the fundamentals and methods for free when most drum teachers would typically charge to learn an exercise like this... This is simply a true blessing, take advantage of the opportunity at play....

I think you actually represent four-way independence at as close to a 100% proficiency level as one could get. Of all the greatest drummers, you might be THAT one person. Oh and I saw a Dennis Chambers interview: he said you're changing the world of drumming and that nobody else has been able to pull off some of the things you have; in other words, you rose above, and then raised the standard. That says a lot coming from Dennis, one of the goats for sure, but what I love is that you're not just showing off for entertainment but you're inspiring and motivating other percussionists to practice more. As a drummer (not quite near your league lol), I think it's a great cause

hes using the dualist single double peddle. unbelievable how good he is with it. I'll bet he multitasks all day long on purpose to learn how to independently use each limb for different things at the same time. his ability to separate his limbs from each other comes natural to him. not many people have that ability and it's so awesome to see jorge use that skill at its finest. estepario is hands down the most disciplined person ive ever seen

This is probably the most approachable estepario post out there. Right hand is doing 8ths, foot is also doing 8ths, but because hes got a fancy pedal that creates two notes per stroke (one note down, one note up), he is playing 16ths with his foot, the snare rhythm isnt hard to add in. The clave is the hardest part, and then getting up to that tempo is also another challenge

I can do this, but not separately on each hand or leg, I got the idea of the groove, and will let my hands and legs do the job.
I also approach the polyrhythms in a similar way, just to get a feel of it and do the rest instead of thinking what each limb will be doing 🙂
