I’ve had some super nice vehicles that I’ve worked on. ‘68 El Camino, ‘69 Chevelle, ‘71 El Camino, ‘00 BMW M Coupe, some other modified cars, a nice truck, almost bought a classic Porsche once until the Slovenian seller in Florida tried to scam me after I flew out there, etc… I currently still drive my sister’s old high school & college Hyundai base model economy car that she only crashed 4 or 5 times. I got it for free, thought that I would sell it within a month, and I still have it many years later. Cheap to own, cheap to operate, and I’ve done all of the maintenance myself to keep it reliable. Love that little beater car.
Wow talk about a small world and a blast from the past. I went to Navy boot camp with Ly in the summer of 08 and I definitely remember the EOD unit coming to hang out with us every so often. Its great seeing guys from a lifetime ago in current times doing great things and never giving up.
Just found out about this page and podcast, shocked there isn't more support! You're absolutely crushing it and its super insightful and inspiring to see. Waiting on my package to be accepted on my commands side so i can get my contract. Super excited to one day be apart of the family. Keep crushing it!
Thank you very much! EOD is a little known community that makes some massive impacts. Good luck. Once you get your contract stay motivated and enjoy the suck. It’s worth it on the other side.
I think I could put something like that together. We've been thinking about making some video's that cover acronyms and other EOD specific topics that may not make sense unless you've done the job or it's been explained. Your request fits right into that I think.
Are you the Jay that graduated with my Grandson Josh Merry around 2010? If you are I’ve often wondered how you did. If I remember correctly you went to EODMU-5 after school.
I know. I’ve been putting it off, but I will figure out the best way to do that. It’s probably a bit awkward not really knowing my back story with EOD. I’ll get it done. I promise!
Yeah, that whole “you’re not allowed to read, just sit there” thing is one of the most accurate descriptions of the navy there is

Dude this channel is amazing! Could you do a short video about what kind of math to be proficient in before EOD school?

Jerron, you gotta do an episode when you talk about yourself and your background. How did you find Navy EOD?
I know. I’ve been putting it off, but I will figure out the best way to do that. It’s probably a bit awkward not really knowing my back story with EOD. I’ll get it done. I promise!
Seeing how far apart you can spit water into eachother’s mouths.
Yup. No thanks.
That’s my favorite part. A different flavor every time
