      Lol, Ann, we all love family and love to have fun, together, but our dad knows we never do any of it out of disrespect...and let me tell you, he can dish it out just as much as he gets it too! Lol :-) Ann, we are glad you found value in the video and thanks for commenting.

    Great review! The electric starter looks super easy and I like that it makes you put in the key as a safety mechanism. Thanks for sharing.

    This is a follow-up to my post. It was not the battery. It was the housing where the push key gets inserted. Went back to Lowe's. I did an even exchanged. The new one works. So far no issue.

      Ricardo Sanz, hey thanks for following back up and giving us an update. Glad to hear that y’all found out the issue, and that the new one is working good now. That is definitely one that that we do like we buying from large retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s, is that in top of the products warranty, they also have their own return policies as well. Please come back after the summer season and let us know how it performed for you.

    Really cool review you explained the new battery key start very well... do they come in different sizes?

    • @Tools4Guys
      @Tools4Guys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Adrian, thanks for commenting. We are glad you liked the review. While Craftsman does have other sizes, meaning larger engines and blades, they are only the ones that are self propelled but they don’t include the electric start. Craftsman used to have a 190cc electric start self propelled mower, but it has since been discontinued. So to answer your question, the Craftsman M270 159cc is the only size they make with both the electric start and self propelled that is still gas operated. We hope this info helps! :-)

      Rob, we are glad you found the review helpful. Pops, aka our dad, has had it over a year now and he still loves that he bought it, especially bc of the electric push start, which continues to work like a champ. Thanks for watching and commenting!😎👍🧰🛠

    I just bought one of these and I can’t get it to start ☹️ I don’t know why

    • @Tools4Guys
      @Tools4Guys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Christina, here are a couple of steps you can try. 1) verify the battery is fully charged
      2) verify the battery is fully inserted By taking it out and “snapping” in place
      3) Verify that the start push button moves down and it’s not locked in place
      4) make sure that the start (safety) handle bar is held down with your hand when pushing the start button
      5) start the mower manually using the recoil cord To verify that it does run. A question we have is, when you try and start it, does it sound like it is trying to start or is there no noise or movement at all from the mower?

      @@Tools4Guys You are so awesome for replying!! Thank you so much! I’ll try this, this weekend. Your channel is super helpful for a single lady figuring out this stuff solo!! Thank you!

      @@Tools4Guys It sounds like it won’t start at all. Going to try it in an hour. One thing I did think was weird was even with all my strength I couldn’t pull the recoil cord. Would they send it with me needing to open up the unit? Or am I just not pulling hard enough? It was completely locked after about 1 ft.

      @@christina5042 Hello, I recently purchased a similar model, the m275. With my model I needed to pull out the handles. Initially the handle extends into the interior housing where the blades are, which stops it from starting. Not sure if your model has the same issue, but I would recommend checking it out. Look at the underside and see if the handles are in the way.

    Bought this from Loews 4 dys ago. I charged the battery 4 over 8 hrs. The pull cord works great. The push key does not. No juice. I call craftsman customers service. They think battery is no good. They r sending me a new battery.

    • @Tools4Guys
      @Tools4Guys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ricardo, what I do like about Lowe's is they have a pretty good return policy. Glad to hear that they are sending you a new battery. Once you get up and running, let us know how you liked using the Craftsman Electric Start Self Propelled Lawn Mower.
