Thanks so much Jeff. I guess you got some inspiration from my comments some time ago. Once again - a life saver!! Much appreciated.
I'd finally got some intelligence on how the thing was attached so did a bit more digging. It had bugged me for a bit and am happy I finally found a solution.
First! Good tutorial. Well planned and explained. Thanks
Thanks again Jeff, really appreciate all your content. Did you ever cover throttle body cleaning/service?
Never really looked at it that much as I don't see it as a big issue. Would be easy enough though to pull the intake manifold and clean it out like any other throttle body.
Jeff thanks for all the great content. What do you think about Is a video on engine health. Done by using piwis and the fuel trims, misfires and roughness and maybe other values.
This isn't something I know a lot about. There are very few issues I'm aware of apart from misfires caused by carbon intake port carbon build up, and I've made videos on how to rectify this.
@@jeffrichardsoncardiy Clear I all so couldn’t find a lot info about misfire and specially fuel trims. Only one video from ln engineering about fuel trim levels believe a good 981 the RKAT should between -3.5 and +3.5 mg/stroke. I would like to know how healthy my engine is by using PIWIS to check all different kind of values. Thanks
Thanks for the video! My 991 glovebox won't close. I noticed the two pins that hold the door closed are retracted into the glovebox door. Is the handle itself what causes the two pins at either side of the door to spring back out? Thanks!
No the handle doesn't do the retraction. There is a spring mechanism underneath the front cover that does this. The handle just has a small lever that actuates the spring mechanism on the pins. You will need to remove the front cover to get access.
@@jeffrichardsoncardiy Thanks Jeff. That's what I was fearing.
I once removed an alcantara face from a broken glovebox, they do prise off with a lot of force and seem to be glued on or plastic welded.
That makes sense. I put a lot of force on it and it wouldn't budge.
@@jeffrichardsoncardiy long narrow prise tool is needed, and go around and it will come off.
@@TDS981 Thanks. I'll take a look.
