Of course, if the attack was not stopped in time, the ship could have been destroyed. Then, there would be no chance to ever reset the timeline. So maybe the cost was high instead of too high.
I always say why didn’t they take the intrepid and two delta class ships with them but I have to keep reminding myself that they were too slow and couldn’t keep up with enterprise
