For those of you who are concerned that I "Yell at Jazzy, I can assure you this is not done in anger or to be mean. Jazzy loves to argue. She will do this banter all the time as what seems to be entertainment for her. I am not angry with her, in fact I protect her and have since moved her cage away from the table so she is not tempted to eat wood that has varnish on it. Jazzy and I continue to have many discussions, some are more spirited than others , I leave that up to Jazzy.
From watching your videos and someone else's (the birds name is Baby), you can tell that they love this type of interaction! But people love to complain. Don't mind them :-)
I love it. You're doing just what Jazzy needs for her personality, keeping her brain active and non-bored with all that "arguing" and conversation. She's lucky to have you!!
Too many uptight people in here! This is hilarious! Pets are silly and have their own personalities, and this parrot looks well cared for. Chill and enjoy the fun :)
I know what you mean and then there's retards saying that they can't understand what it's saying LOL I mean fuck how hollow are you LOL . Umbrellas don't have clear speech . Very rarely they do .
Lekkki1 Jazzy is an amazing bird. She can truly communicate with you. She is my sweetie. Just she communicated with me that she did not want to take our walk to the mailbox. She said "shivers" , then no adventure, I good, bye. It was her way of telling me it was too cold outside and she did not want to go.
Might start doing things like scientists did with some African greys. The birds did understand sentences. Not just mimic them. This was proven by various tasks to isolate that conclusion. Go get the green key. Or go get the green square. Or get 2 keys. Or get 2 green squares. That kind of thing. This bird might be able to do that.
I visit a nearby cockatoo weekly and he definitely uses learned words and phrases in context. Out of the blue he said "I love you" during a recent visit. I hadn’t said that to him, so there was no question that he was acting independently. He also recognizes me and gets very excited when he sees me.
I love it when they do this. So do they actually... In spite of what many people think, they love having a shouting match like this and they often do it just for the heck of it. I think its hilarious sometimes. Its good to see an owner give their time to the birds because the birds need that interraction and they thrive from it.
I've watched this clip several times over the last few years. I absolutely love it! It's my go to video for a quick pick me up when I'm not having a good day. Laughter IS the best medicine!
Lol!! I don't know, Jazzy makes a really CUTE arguement....I might have just buckled and let her eat the table! I absolutely adore your bird...thanks for sharing this, I needed a laugh . I hope you both have a beautiful day!
I love these beautiful and precious creatures. You are doing a great job communicating and teaching Jazzy good socialization. I have a friend who has a Cockatoo and I have learned that a Cockatoo owner needs to spend at least an hour or so each day talking and socializing with it the way you do :)
ddnurse1000 I love cockatoo's and all other parrots. They are beautiful interesting characters.... but you must have the patience of a saint! I haven't had kids but dealt with my cousins when they were younger, is it (living with a cockatoo) comparable to dealing with a toddler? Then again I guess a big part of the patience is down to loving them :) . Awesome video! Subbed for the future.
+Fou Golden, dealing with a cockatoo is like dealing with an ADHD, 2-year-old toddler. LOL! Honestly! Cockatoos can be sweet and loveable, and they are extremely intelligent. But they can also be loud and destructive, and they demand your full attention all the time. I love my Too and would never give her up, but she is a handful! I call her my "wild child."
He makes a very compelling case 🤣🤣 I love it when they get mad and serious and start flailing their wings, lol Cute vid, but turns out I’m 6 years late 😳
Your Umbrella Cockatoo is intelligent and communicative. Jazzy makes me laugh, when she said Bullshit after you said: "I never told you to eat the table". Bring more videos, please!
This STILL makes me laugh! It sounds like she says im sorry at one point. She's obviously quite a character and keeps her mom on her toes! Love this! 😁😁
holy shit that is one intelligent cockatoo. at 2:15 it says "im not stupid im not stupid, yes *puts foot out*, yes". lmfao! ive never seen a cockatoo more adamant and out spoken before
I saw a salmon-crested cockatoo at the pet store last weekend, and it was just as energetic as yours. But what shocked me was that it let complete strangers touch and pet it, and it wanted to get on everyone's shoulder and talk to people. It was the most heartwarming and gentle parrot I've ever seen, and I have a really good impression of cockatoos because of it. I'd be siked to keep one as a pet.
Obviously anyone who sees any harm in this video has never owned a large bird. They are like people! They are much more intelligent than most people know and I think this video is cute and hilarious, I can definitely tell you have a loving and close relationship with your umbrella!
This never fails to make me laugh! What a stinker! But a cute one! Im kind of afraid of bigger birds but cockatoos are hilarious and gorgeous. I couldn't handle the noise level though. Very funny video!
Wowww. The attitudes that cockatoos have is out of this world 🤣 so many adorable videos of them throwing little birdy tantrums 🤣 and birb always wins ma, always LOL. ❤️
Gorgeous bird! She's such a clever little thing. Its a bit like having a teenager in the house though. They are always giving sass if they don't get their way.

Don't mind the nay-sayers. I have a female Sulphur Cockatoo who regularly does the exact same thing. She will fight and throw my things, screech, parade around and flap in a rage but it always ends with cuddles. It's a game to the birds, a fun thing they like to do. Wild birds do exactly the same thing if people pay attention. Your bird is lovely and quite the fiesty character! :)
Very funny. I love Umbrella Cockatoos. The have so much personality and are so loving and have such soft feathers. Good luck on getting Jassy to stop chewing on the table though. ;-)

I regularly have this same argument with my parents.
they won't let you eat the table? o-o
No, dude, it fucking sucks.
Awe, I am sorry man. Parents can ruin a lot of things for us all.
Anastazia Crites I know. It's okay. It's a tasty table, though.
I bet.

I wanna pet Jazzy!
This made me laugh. "This is Donna's table!" I could swear he told you that it was "absurd".
I didn't think you were yelling. This is a cute video.
Damn! If I ever get in trouble, I want that cockatoo as MY ATTORNEY! I could pay him in tables!
