The hotel I showed in this video is called the Dev Ganga. I'm not sure if it can be booked online, but this is the website I use the most for booking accommodation while I travel. Huge selection and you can find some great deals on hotels, apartments and hostels: www.booking.com/index.html?aid=1724899
There is a shot in my Rishikesh vlog when you can see I was crossing that bridge on a motorbike haha! I love this place and the views in your video are gorgeous 😍
Synchronicity. Before you went to India, I was searching for yoga schools. Your vids are a delight, I've already feel I'm going to have a blast there and extending my stay.
Thanks for the videos. I like and appreciate your honest no nonsense style. I miss India so so much. Watching your videos makes me feel like I'm there again! Happy Travels dude.
Last winter we travelled to Gangotry. We took the local bus up and then taxy. I have video about this trip in my channel. We travelled with our 1.5 year old baby there. The hot springs is worth the trip up. :)
Also, I suggest you to visit Mussouri, Danaulti, Kaushani. These are not really religious places, but great hill stations, and lot less crowded(less "insane/crazy" in your words :D)
Thank you very much Gabriel! you make me feel i was there travel, almost subscribed one month ago and now can't wait to watch your every video. safe travel, love watch your budget travel series, i'm in Shen Zhen, China(深圳,中国), hope one day you visit my place.
Hi Gabriel, I have subscribed and watched almost all videos you have done! Good job! So enjoyable. I would like to suggest you one thing: get a stabilized stick for go pro whatever camera you use, if you can. They don't cost much now a days and can greatly improve the quality of the videos by getting rid of the jerkiness! But yes, even without it, I love your videos so much, because you show not only the places, you show the means of travel and share other info like cost! Keep it up :)
You are very knowledgeable, sir. Amazing how many animals are in India. In the USA it's squirrels and birds--sometimes a few deer--and as pets, dogs and cats, and that's pretty much it!
If you're deciding where to go next my vote is Ethiopia or Indonesia (somewhere other than Bali, Lombok, or Java). Sumatra or Flores would be interesting. Anyway, that's my 2 cents as a viewer. Weird seeing this Rishikesh video since I'm going to be there in 10 days. The internet trips me out sometimes. Thanks for the video and safe travels.
I was there just a couple days back. And you're absolutely right, it has changed completely since the first time I was here in 1998. I still have some vague memories. I was 5 then, but it wasn't as crowded and full of foreign nationals as it is now.
Like your videos very much as going to india in fed March for I don't know spoke as long as money last and have found ur adoration and now have a good list of places
Great video and wonderfully taste of that area. Do you know your plans for the next few weeks or week? Will you remain in India or do you plan on venturing elsewhere? How are you doing with your budget compared to your expectations before you started your India adventure? Safe travels and look forward to the next video.
I'm not sure how much longer I'll be in India but not too long I don't think. Maybe another couple weeks. I think I've decided which country I'm going to next but keeping it under wraps for now. Haven't booked a flight or anything. But it will be a new place and something quite different.
This is so beautiful..Do not miss Ranikhet, Dwarahat, Binsar, Kausani ,Almora, Chopta, Tunganath, Auli in your travel trip..These are so peacefully, spirituality and best mountains travel trip in Uttarakhand...I hope you will go to there..👍✌
Yeah there are nice beaches, I'll show them in another video. Also I tried to hike to the waterfall today but didn't find it. I've been to it before though. It's up a trail that goes through the forest. It was getting late and I had to turn back.
YES, Rishikesh is the place. There's even a Beatles song about it: th-cam.com/video/HkaANfblogs/w-d-xo.html I plan to visit the abandoned ashram where they stayed and make a video there.
Liked it👍🏻 just two friendly informations😀 first Ganga is a Sanskrit word and second Dhaba is basically Punjabi style road side (specially highway in India/freeway in USA) refreshment area where you can get washroom, liquor, chai & food with Khatia(wooden bench with strong rope). Now people use the word dhaba in anywhere 🙄 Thank you so much🙏🏼stay well & keep traveling😀
I think one of the resasons the prices are going up is when they feature on videos and lots of tourists turn up..so prices go up. So many travel vloggers (not complaining of course) actually impact...to some degree or other..But that's life. lol
yes..Also I think that there is a different kind of tourist going to India now and especialy places like Rishikesh being a big yoga place. People have more money to spend. Last year it was still possible in swarg ashram to get a reasonable room for $10 or actually a lot less in a few places. We stayed at both ends. There is a hotel just near the cafe you go o in your bus video..Forget the name bt the room was right on the corner of the building overlooking that exact view and it was $8 but was onl available for a couple of weeks and then we woul have hd to move, so we didn't move there..
My view count was 666, which freaks me out, Gabe.......never knew it wasn't actual Rishikesh.....good to know.....that guest house was lovely too......and stating the view was "quite epic" must have been understatement of the year.....:-)
For a long-term stay, I think so. There are other places that I like more in certain ways, that are quieter, less touristy, etc. But Rishikesh has so much to do and so many places to explore that you can stay for a while and not get bored. I'll be showing lots of those other places to see around Rishikesh in coming videos.
I made another video about prices in Jaipur: th-cam.com/video/jdlyfz947WU/w-d-xo.html I'm not sure if I'll make one for Rishikesh as well, but I'll think about it.
I don't think I'll go to Nepal again after India. Next time I go I want to do the Everest base camp trek, but it will be getting too cold for that trek now.
a year ago you asked name for the road th-cam.com/video/jPyYGw9Jn6w/w-d-xo.html in this video It's killar-kishtwar road you can search for this road on TH-cam to watch more videos of it There are many like this road around Himachal If you are still in India make sure to visit this road. I will be waiting for your video 😁
I love ur whatsoever video i see till now but u said no editing in this nd i see edits 😂😂.... jokes apart u r a very good hitchhiking traveller but apart from that which place or food😋 u like the most in India 😉 Love u 🤗🙂
Normally Hindus don't wear T shirts with gods on them. It's a bit weird. Occasionally you may see some locals wearing these outfits especially in Tourist places.
I think it's too late in the season now. The glacier is up pretty high and requires a 24 km hike. I might get a little ways up into the mountains though.
The hotel I showed in this video is called the Dev Ganga. I'm not sure if it can be booked online, but this is the website I use the most for booking accommodation while I travel. Huge selection and you can find some great deals on hotels, apartments and hostels: www.booking.com/index.html?aid=1724899

Cool video ...very epic .....looks like a lot of tourists there and not so dirty ...thanks for posting
Wow beautiful Gabriel Traveler, .. nice video ! looks like an antique place !
Last winter we travelled to Gangotry. We took the local bus up and then taxy. I have video about this trip in my channel. We travelled with our 1.5 year old baby there. The hot springs is worth the trip up. :)
very well shot. nice walk on the road and laxman jhula with great view of ganges, along with live running commentary!
Also, I suggest you to visit Mussouri, Danaulti, Kaushani. These are not really religious places, but great hill stations, and lot less crowded(less "insane/crazy" in your words :D)
Loved the cow laying on the bridge taking in the view !

Thank you very much Gabriel! you make me feel i was there travel, almost subscribed one month ago and now can't wait to watch your every video. safe travel, love watch your budget travel series, i'm in Shen Zhen, China(深圳,中国), hope one day you visit my place.
As usual, great video!!!
Thanks Ron, and nice running into you! I'm just about to post the video from last night, but you already know what happened.

Visit dharamshala we are coming there too
I've been there a few times: th-cam.com/users/gabejedmosearch?query=Dharamsala
Gabriel Traveler your link showing error.
It might not work if you're using a mobile phone.
The lady at the fruit stand was in that exact spot this time last year..
Its all simulation. Matrix is real
@@amankumar206 I think you are right
You are very knowledgeable, sir. Amazing how many animals are in India. In the USA it's squirrels and birds--sometimes a few deer--and as pets, dogs and cats, and that's pretty much it!
Aquarian Christianity almost all.. But you have to visit some national parks or sanctuaries to see them
Come Dehradun Gabriel. it's only a hour ride from Rishikesh
Wow can’t believe bikes are allowed across that bridge. Barely wide enough for 2 people side by side. Awesome views though!
Love your videos. Once visit the north east India. Drone shots make your videos more interesting...
If you're deciding where to go next my vote is Ethiopia or Indonesia (somewhere other than Bali, Lombok, or Java). Sumatra or Flores would be interesting. Anyway, that's my 2 cents as a viewer.

Hi Gabriel, really enjoying this trip to India. Are you going to Nepal again on this trip? Cheers from Australia!
Hi Karl, I don't think I'll end up going to Nepal again this trip. Getting cold for trekking now. Cheers!
Visit Mysore and surrounding place
dhaba is an place where you can eat traditional basic but extremely tasty and mostly punjabi type food
Where else would you see a cow sitting on a bridge. Brilliant.
Another nice video man
Lovely. Though most of the high altitude places are getting closed within a month but u can still try to reach some trekking spots from Rishikesh
How do they allow the motor bikes on that bridge LOL. Great video though !
oltiousgoinham there are onlt two bridges and locals have only these options
Soon they won't....they are building a huge road bridge about 3 km at the other end of the town and it's like a bypass.
Ya i was not meaning any disrespect just seems very unsafe to have then also on the bridge !
Great video and wonderfully taste of that area. Do you know your plans for the next few weeks or week? Will you remain in India or do you plan on venturing elsewhere? There is a Waterfall in Rishikesh & Ganges Beach?
Yeah there are nice beaches, I'll show them in another video. Also I tried to hike to the waterfall today but didn't find it. I've been to it before though. It's up a trail that goes through the forest. It was getting late and I had to turn back.
try bungee jumping there in jumping heights in rishikesh.
Were the Beatles there? George getting a few sitar lessons from Ravi Shankar maybe. ;)
YES, Rishikesh is the place. There's even a Beatles song about it:
th-cam.com/video/HkaANfblogs/w-d-xo.html
I plan to visit the abandoned ashram where they stayed and make a video there.
Gabriel Traveler cool, that'll be interesting, not seen anything about it since those times.

Yes: th-cam.com/video/d1F-mIBVOMw/w-d-xo.html
I'll make a much better one though.
Are Beatles very popular in US? Was that the first Band.
Straight Outta Rishikesh
Are those Hindu God t-shirts for tourists only, or do Indian people wear them too?
Gato It's for everyone.. Indians wear it to
maximan Indian Donot Wears , T-Shirts & Pants 😁😁😁 Womens Wear Saree and Mens Wear Kurta Pajama .. But New Generation Wears
Normally Hindus don't wear T shirts with gods on them. It's a bit weird. Occasionally you may see some locals wearing these outfits especially in Tourist places.
Ayesha Baloch You are pakistani ...Isn't it ? We don't like our women to be in hizaab .

Hari Om Sharma he mentioned it's old video.. currently he is in Rishikesh

Why u call river Ganga Gangeous
It's called that in English: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganges
They need to make these streets pedestrian only. The honking is beyond insanity. Just horrible.
first
Hindus arent visitors, they are the locals
I'm sure that many of them aren't from Rishikesh however, they come from lots of different places in India to visit Rishikesh.
Gabriel Traveler True!! any plans for Gangotri
I think it's too late in the season now. The glacier is up pretty high and requires a 24 km hike. I might get a little ways up into the mountains though.
its not a fresh fruits bro 😂😂 bunch of deadly chamicals inside the fruits
