- Here's a quick look at how I dye self-striping yarn, with help from my assistant Nicole, from start to finish. I feel like the largest part of the job is filling pots with water and doing whatever we can to keep the yarn from getting tangled.
I've always had an appreciation for dyers that can manage huge orders of self-striping yarn. As just doing one at a time is so laborious! Your process is no less confusing - but so much bigger in scale! Super impressed! Thank you for sharing!
Michele, thanks for giving a look at your process. I'm amazed at the equipment needed and the amount of work involved. Thanks so much for your beautiful yarns.
First of all, I'm trying to imagine all of this before you moved into your new space! Wow! Thank you for sharing. Every time I knit my husband a pair of socks from Woolens and Nosh yarn, he wonders how in the world you make the self-striping yarn. So I showed him! We are amazed. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for making such gorrrrggeous yarn.
I always wondered about the process for self striping yarn. This was a great informative video of the process. A lot of work and time. I will enjoy knitting socks even more!!!! Thanks so much!!
I am loving working with my skein of Oh, Hello You! (Thanks for the quick shipping) but this makes me appreciate it even more
Absolutely loved seeing this! Thank you for sharing, Michele.

My favourite Woolens and Nosh colourway is Percolate!!

What electric skein winder do you use? The one that can do 6 skeins at once ? It looks super cool !
I was wondering what types of clips you guys are using?
