  • As we learned earlier this week, Fiat has a fantastic and extensive small car history. In part 2, we go from the Cinquecento of the early 90s, right up to the current small car range of the present day, and learn more about why Fiat makes the best small cars!

    Fantastic pair of videos. My small FIAT history is 1986 pre-FIRE Panda 4x4, a 2001 Seicento 1.1SX, a Schumacher Seicento, a 500 Twinair Plus, a latest Gen Panda 4x4 Twinair Cross , my current Seicento Sporting Abarth & Abarth 595 180 Competizione. I’ve loved them all. If I could only choose one, it would be the Panda Cross.

    Miller Corner, you've done a great job by making the film "Fiat Small Car History". I love watching it, both the Part 1and Part 2. They remind me of the time when I used to drive my own Fiat 126p, Fiat Panda (80' version) and my two Fiat Seicento SX and Sporting. I absolutely agree with you. They were and are still great cars.

    Drove a Cinequecento hire car on holiday - I took it back after about 1/4 hour saying there was something wrong with the gear change and the car hire guy said " nope - they are all like that - awful ".
    About to get rid of my long serving Scenic ( family needs must ) and would like a 500 - however will get a Panda 2 because they are so much more practical.

    Watching this in 2020 contemplating a 2012 panda 2 1.2 dynamic, last of the boxy shape. Are these a reliable car? I've no experience of owning a fiat, but I love the styling compared to all the other bubbles out there. 😊
    Really enjoyed this vid👍

    Another great video! I really wish the Panda II or Panda III had been sold here in Canada. FYI, the Panda II was also sold in a Panda Cross variant with chunkier styling and the like!
    cdn1.automobilesreview.com/img/panda-cross/slides/panda-cross-01.jpg
    I've contemplated importing a Panda II 4x4 as a DD here in Canada...probably not financially worth it (especially as parts wouldn't be available for it), but they are reliable and the 4x4 function would be great for snowy weather here when winter hits, and you get FWD economy the rest of the time!

    • @MillerCorner
      @MillerCorner  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely LOVE the Panda 4x4! A Panda Cross genuinely is an achievable dream car of mine 🙊

      @@MillerCorner Same here! I love the Panda II Cross and Panda III Cross, but 15-year import rules here in Canada mean it will be awhile before I could import one...I could import a Panda II 4x4 now though!

    I miss small and cheap Fiat city cars like Cinque and Seicento. New 500 is expensive in sale...but cheap for manufacture ( Panda wheelbase) . Why Fiat can´t make small city car for 6-6.500 € ?

    • @MillerCorner
      @MillerCorner  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd buy a Dacia spec Panda for £6k for sure!

    • @OdykKayne
      @OdykKayne 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MillerCorner If they had stripper model 500s with no fancy features etc, I'd go for one! I just want a cheap, basic, small car! Sadly, the 500 is moreso marketed as a fashion-type car in most places, including here in Canada, so base spec 2018 500s here are still $22k CAD! 0_o
