- Cabrillo Beach is a historic beach located in San Pedro, Los Angeles, California. It is named after Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, a Portuguese explorer who was the first to sail up the California coast.
Construction of the San Pedro Breakwater began in 1899 for the purpose of protecting San Pedro Bay and the new, major port. Some of the rocks used weighed about 6,000 to 16,000 pounds. In 1913, Angel’s Gate Lighthouse was built at the end of the breakwater, which was, and still is today, the main entrance to the Port of Los Angeles.

I'm from Texas but I moved out here when I was 16 it's been an amazing experience San Pedro is very different and people are characters that's everywhere you go through but I tell you you can always count on cabrillo Beach man beautiful place then I like to go up further to White point LOVE SAN PEDRO JUST WISH THE PEOPLE KEPT IT CLEANER

San Pedro born and raised
My Sister lives in San Pedro, so for her this is a "Local" beach. I've been there many times. Walking the beach and fishing the pier that is on the other side of the break water. Its not a bad little beach, but there are better. However, thanks for the video and the sound of the waves. Good job. P.S. Bit disappointed that you didn't walk all the way to the end of the pier.

I lived off Pacficand 39th street just before Point Ferman lighthouse Such a beautiful are for living in L.A. County we used go down on the rocks during low tide and find sqiidmany around and go home make tomatoe sauce on the sideand dunk said squid .Moved back to Fort Lauderdale for 15 years why I moved back to NYC is beyond meirs turning back into a shithole!!!
