Long Beach is a city in the US state of California located within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It is the 39th most populous city in the United States with a population of 462,257 in 2010. A charter city, Long Beach is the 7th most populous city in California.
Incorporated in 1897, Long Beach lies in Southern California in southern Los Angeles County. Long Beach is approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of downtown Los Angeles, and is part of the Gateway Cities region. The Port of Long Beach is the second busiest container port in the United States and is among the world's largest shipping ports. The city is over an oilfield with minor wells both directly beneath the city as well as offshore.
The city is known for its waterfront attractions, including the permanently docked RMS Queen Mary and the Aquarium of the Pacific. Long Beach also hosts the Grand Prix of Long Beach, currently an IndyCar race. The California State University, Long Beach, one of the largest universities in California by enrollment, is located in the city.

This is a beautiful video but it is also very sad to always only seeing downtown be represented and called “Long Beach.” I know it is clarified in the title but not to viewers. Long Beach is huge and definitely a beach city- what makes it special is that it’s also not just another HB or laguna, or Malibu or Venice Beach. I love downtown too but this romanticizes the hell out of it.

I moved from downtown LB 20 yrs ago. Then there were old buildings with a dribble of business going on. Now there are new bulidings with no continuity . . . all boarded up. Progress? ? ? IDTS

I live in DTLB. The boards from the May 31st looting are mostly gone. Now there's wonderful outdoor dining in keeping with COVID19 rules. But alas not all businesses can accommodate the LA County COVID19 outdoor rules.
Hahahaha, this video does not represent the city of Long Beach, Ca. Every city has it's highlights and low lifes. Ocean Blvd and Shoreline Village are the nice parts of Long Beach, but just 5 miles south and west of this location are some of the worst ghettos in So. Cal. I lived in So. Cal for over 40 years and lived in Long Beach. Don't get me wrong. Long Beach has some very nice communities, but it's nothing like the video portrays. Tip, don't go out at night on Anaheim blvd or PCH from Wilmington to at least Lakewood blvd and the traffic circle.

Belmont Shore, Bixby Knolls, Ranchos Estates, Los Altos, California Heights and Alamitos Beach are all great neighborhoods in Long Beach California.
Long Beach would be so much better if it wasn’t so liberal.

Was born in long beach ca in 1949 but grew up.in Wilmington. Always got hair cuts in LB went to. The pike. And the beach. Back in 1970 not much homeless . but now. 2020 its crazy. I moved out of south bay to north central ca .retired i have a home too lost a lot. of friends im still kicking at 71. im miss the Pike corn dogs, soda. And. Cyclone racer rollercoaster. Long Beach. has always been cool town Belmont shore naples is fun calm ocean water to swim relax open air cafes. God has bless hometown

Downtown Long Beach has a great farmer's market that sets up every Friday 10 am - 2 pm on N Promenade between 5th and 3rd streets! It's such a great community of people!
Also on Wednesdays and Saturdays at park between 4th and Ocean Blvd. on Cherry ave from 3 pm to 7 pm
Now it's poppin' in DTLB with all the outside seating at the bars!! Cool Video!

I love Long Beach, I grew up here and all my kids were born here and I still live here😎Long Beach CA 🇺🇸 is the location to many box office movies " Gone in 60 seconds ", " Leathal Weapon ", " First Sunday " And many more, I've been at the sets during some of those movies, I was married at the church from the movie First Sunday on 3rd and Linden.
