Two questions: first, please clarify the silicone adhesive you recommend; second, could you not simply use a stemless wine glass and adhere it to your custom turned stem? Thank you-and great job, per your usual standard!
Hey PBpleased, You could definitely use a stemless wine glass, I would just make sure the turned surface matches the profile of the glass to maximize the support. Hey Eric, You can sand the tenon for the final fit. The wood will compress a little more than if it was turned so take that into account when getting the fit. 😊 -Mike

A Dremel with a diamond wheel will cut through easily.

Could you use Kirks scratch free after spraying lacquer to polish?
Absolutely, I usually use Scratch-Free then Micro Magic to polish out the lacquer. -Mike
