    Honestly surprised that you didn’t trim the corners off with 45° cuts prior to placing the block on your lathe. Scraps could become components of a future project. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video presentation illustrating your creativity and craftsmanship. Wishing you and your family a blessed week, gentle weather and restful evenings. Peace

    This is a beautiful and I always enjoy your work. Will that wax hold up if wine is actually poured in the glass? Would you use this to drink wine?

    • @mayukowoodturning7644
      @mayukowoodturning7644  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching my video, maybe the beeswax won't last long if you pour water and have to give it another beeswax, but I don't drink wine so I'll use it for display purposes only

  • @joinerturner

    Hi Mayuko, inspiring as usual 🙂
    May I ask you a question:
    As it is a wine glass, how did you treat the inside to withstand the wine??
    I'm thinking about using a thin film of Epoxy, but I'm not sure...

    • @mayukowoodturning7644
      @mayukowoodturning7644  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, this is more suitable for display only, although for water it doesn't leak but I don't use it for wine and I also don't sell it

    • @toddcorey3190
      @toddcorey3190 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They sell a food safe epoxy. You can also use food grade shellac. There’s many recipes too for mixing your own with bees wax and mineral oil

    Can you please tell me how to calculate segments

    • @mayukowoodturning7644
      @mayukowoodturning7644  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Calculating the segment is dividing the degree of the circle, for example we will use 16 segments then divide 360 degrees by 16 and the result is 22.5 degrees, and so on

    • @g.e.crafts6504
      @g.e.crafts6504 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @mayukowoodturning7644  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@g.e.crafts6504 No problem, I'm happy to share... to determine the diameter of a ring, then we only have to measure the circumference of the circle and then divide by 16
