If you like Ronnie Barker (the large one, the smaller one is Robbie Corbett, hence the Two Ronnies) you should checkout Porridge (a series where he played a prison inmate) or "Open All Hours" where he played an elderly randy shopkeeper.

this sketch exemplifies the class system as it was seen at the time, and then ridicules it. Its the perfect next step on the road of the Frost report (and Cleese) sketch that introduced the Two Ronnies in the first place.

These two surely must rank in the top 3 of British comedy geniuses. They worked together *so* well, and Ronnie Barker - the big one - co-wrote many of the sketches. Utterly brilliant.....

The swear box in a pub is funny. All the bad words are beeped out in different ways depending on how bad a word was used.

for non-brit viewers - the references to the Sun Newspaper - in the 70s it was infamous for "Page 3" which featured a large daily photograph of a topless woman

This was the gold standard back in the 70s. Saturday night, 8.15. Brilliant show. What utter bollocks we have now! Porridge. Open All Hours. Even Sorry. Rising Damp. Rose and Fall of Reginald Perrin. Now.
