    I flew on Aerspace back in July from SNN to JFK and back with the 321, I’m 1’85m and no issues, one of the best flights of my life, and great food. Also flew on economy from DUB to BCN on the 321neo last year and it was great too

      Thanks for the comment. I'm 185 as well and I wasn't able to fully stretch out. Do you remember what's your seat number? In comparison, the wide-body aircraft (in general) offer much better seats in my opinion.

    • @bielvzr02
      @bielvzr02 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes is true, some airlines offer more space, can’t remember the exact seat but it was the one of 2 thrones together

    • @Ginge1164
      @Ginge1164 ปีที่แล้ว

      The throne seat has less leg room than the twin seats. The throne seat has less room for your feet

    This looks great to me. Looking forward to my throne seat in a few months.

    The service is completely different on transatlantic flights on the A321Neo… Very misleading video. What you experienced was “AerSpace” the short haul premium product. Full Business Class is only available on transatlantic/long haul flights.

  • @grayone321
    @grayone321 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    So you equate a 55 minute hop to a trans Atlantic flight, a bit of a waste of time and of little relevance.

    • @adamli8774
      @adamli8774  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the hard product is exactly the same :)

      Funnily @@adamli8774 enjoyed the trans Atlantic hop and for a 182cm plus and topping 95kg it was surprisingly comfortable. Agree with the comments on the Heathrow lounge, Dublin is better plus Ireland pre immigration check is great. All in all a good experience.

      @@adamli8774This video makes a transatlantic flight on an Aer Lingus A321 look very attractive! Not something to be avoided.

      @adamli8774 well first off, the tittle alone saying "why you should AVOID..." with "avoid" in capital letters.
      Sencond, all that just because you felt that not being able to fully stretch out on this route and on business class of all things. This is not that long of a flight (under 7 hours) which is really not that bad.
      I flew Aer Lingus A321 same route on economy and as a 193 cm, it was more than comfortable. In fact, more comfortable than the both Aer Lingus A330-200 & 300.
      This video is no different than someone that flew an airline and complained because the flight attendant didn't properly greet them, despite the flight and service being more than adequate.

    The IFE offered on short 55min flights is not the same as that offered on Long Haul Transatlantic flight. They offer a much more comprehensive selections on those flights.

    We have used Aer to fly direct from the US to Ireland and also to fly to the UK. Aer business is cheaper than most other carriers and offers what we need. A private lounge, away from all the crowds, a quiet cabin with wonderful service and a lie flat bed. My husband is 6 foot 4 and he does alright in their beds for a 5/6 hour flight. Also get to fly to the UK in the same business seats. Best is you can clear US immigration at both Dublin and Shannon airports, fly back to the US like a domestic passenger ! Fantastic product in my opinion of flying the Pond for years and trying all the carriers

  • @richardp2240
    @richardp2240 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Utter nonsense. Everyone with a smart phone us now a 'flight reporter'. You took a 55 min flight which only offers an economy service but enhanced if you pay for Aer Space. Hence a seat that is C class on long haul. Why dont you actually take the long haul flight instead of speculating?

    • @adamli8774
      @adamli8774  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you watch carefully (which I'm sure you did not), I didn't criticise the service. I'm just saying the hard product is the same on long-haul flight so wide-body aircraft is much better lol

  • @helenryder8999
    @helenryder8999 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    We've just flown DUB to LHR economy return over the last 3 days on an A320neo. It's only a 55min flight, and seriously it's pointless to book business class for such a short hop. I think that you can book priority boarding separately to your ticket esp in Dublin airport, it would be much cheaper.
    We also did DUB to LAX via business class in May on an A330-200 - it was very worth it and the service were excellent.

    • @quasarsavage

      Okay u just flew the London to Dublin segment but the same plane is a direct service?

    • @adamli8774
      @adamli8774  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this plane usually flies from Dublin to North America roundtrip, for example, DUB-JFK-DUB. However, sometimes when the plane arrives from North America back to Dublin it will be sitting on the ground for a few hours until the next transatlantic flight. Instead of flying to nowhere, Aer Lingus deploys it to do a quick roundtrip from DUB-LHR-DUB before the next Transatlantic flight.

    Lovely filming of Heathrow Departure. On the question of Business travel and business seats. - for me - I cant understand why someone would pay such a large premium on this flight (55mins) or even on a medium range circa 3 hours flight within Europe especially since pretty much all these flights take place during the day

    Strange thing is seatguru says that the throne seats are better on the A321 than they are on the A330. I am doing the throne seat later this month on the A330 MAN-JFK.

    I think you are in the extreme minority here. My transatlantic flights on the 321 have been nothing but excellent, once to EWR and now once to CLE with their new service. Aer Lingus does a great job despite using a narrowbody on some routes to the US.

    Personally I have to disagree about avoiding A321LR for transatlantic flights. I always fly in one of the throne seats and at 6foot I have never had an issue. This is my plane of choice when flying from the US to Dublin. The food is great same with service. I agree with the others that your video is very misleading.
