Hey SY. A pro tip from a fellow weekend warrior / DIYer. On your paint tray, you can place plastic over it before putting paint. Para after painting, tapon nalang plastic. Easy cleanup. ^_^

Advice on the bleeding edges. After sa pag tape, paint it with the same white first. Para after pagpaint sa blue, white lang yung bleed niya which is same as the wall beside it
Your switch and power outlets are using copper wires to hold it in place hahaha! This is usually because the utility box is too deep in the wall and the wall plate screws can't reach, long screws can fix that. Also, it's a good idea to tape over the wall-plate not just the switches, so if you need to replace the switch/outlet assembly (including the wall-plate & face plate) you don't peel the paint around it. Otherwise, you'd need to cut the paint covering the outlet wall-plate.
So interesting! When I renovated last summer, I used a 3M Tape applicator that made the prep so much faster and less stressful. It's not necessary but I definitely recommend if you're pressed for time!

Sir Slater, our house is an old one (50yrs+), and had mixed walls. Some part is cement them most are wood. We are planning to repaint them, i definitely need your recommendation on paint (type) and how to cover up old nail holes. TIA! Avid fan here🥰
love the color!! next time remove the tape right after painting, not after the paint has cured, that causes the peeling &/or excess paint to creep into the tape.
I saw a tiktok hack that when you put a tape, you have to put white paint first before painting the new color (e.g. gray) so that when you remove the tape it looks very seamless
I gueas u made a wonderful job on the painting. Di talaga maiiwasan yung mga smears sa edges dahil din siguru sa uneveness ng surface ng kabilang wall.
Problema talaga sa pag tape yong bleeding kasi hindi 100% straight ang wall kaya yong edges ng tape hindi sya dumidikit ng maayos minsan. So pag gumamit ka ng brush to coat the edges, lumulusot yong paint sa tiny gaps ng tape sa wall. And technique ko dyan, ay either you paint the edge with same white para yong first bleed nya ay white at maseal yong tape then let it dry and do your real paint color or after taping, when you’re brushing those corners dont put to much pressure don sa area na merong tape, just follow the line, this will take a little more time Pero it’s just like that technique where you dont need the painter’s tape but you still have the paint for backup. You’re gonna need a brush yong for corners and just follow the line. Nagkakaron ng bleed because the paint is being pushed towards the paint, and since it’s liquid it can sip through those weak spots. No matter how well you tape that, you will have some bleed somewhere.
When I repainted my room last time it cost me less than 2000php for the paint and materials (roller, palleta, putty, tape, brush, and tray) I used. Pero depends padin po sa room design na gusto nyo ·ᴗ· sakin kasi all white tapos meron lang na isang accentuated wall kaya 1 gal. na white paint at 1/2 pint colored lang binili ko. Btw, my room size is 2.5mx3m
TIP: para strait un paint after alisin un tape - place grout first (areas you need the paint to be strait) and then put the tape over.. tapos paint away.. then pag natuyo na un paint remove the tape.. you should have a fairly strait paint after removing the tape.. ^_^
Share ko lang sir slater yung texture ng grit (sand paper) is 100 or 60 or 240? And i dont know if you shake the paint before you open it ...wala kasi sa vlog.dapat shake so yung na stock na chemical s na bumaba tumaas ulit...and stir it well like mga 10 mins counter clockwise then opposite para well mix para sa mga chemicals na nag buo konti and sink sa baba....and also to prevent budges...skl lang po hehe... Honestly i dont like the color i love the color blue! But syempre yan like mo so support lang hehe....love you!😍😘✌️👏

Auto white balance constantly changing might have cause some green or blue tints in the skin tones because the wall kept being confused by the wall hahaha

Hindi ba dapat takpan muna yung blue na paint ng white para ma achieve yung tunay na kulay ng gray? Kasi baka mag dark yung gray.
you can widened the crack by using a grinder para mas dali ka mahuman sir

My experience in DIY wall painting is, for water based paint, mas madali matuyo pag hinaluan mo ng tubig ng konti. Basta wag masyado madami.
I also really like that wall color, kaso bawal lang kami mag paint dito sa apartment 😢
The adhesive may wear off in a period of time..so its better to put it right when your about to paint..

No need but for lighter colors, better to place a coat of primer on the entire wall
