    Very informative, thank you. I have a question: is it possible to benefit from D365 Marketing if your data is on-premise, or is D365 Marketing not suitable for this scenario? Thanks again for the nice demo.

    Lisa, high five on your content. Finally found a source that works for me. I am untrained in our MS 365 and I will be TH-cam certified with your help and others. For this video, you lost me at 1:18. I don't have the same Outbound Marketing tab that you are working in - only Marketing. I looked at your channel and the beginner videos were all about Power-centric. Can you curate a watch list of your videos for me starting from 0? Already watched "What is Dynamics 365?" and "Dynamics 365 Marketing Tutorial Real Time and Journeys.

    Hello Lisa,
    Great video.
    What if I want to get only the Marketing Module without the Sales?
    Will it keep the same structure, or would it be slightly different?
    Thank you

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can get the Marketing module without sales. The marketing module still uses the same contact data table (and the account and contact tables are included with the marketing module). The value you get out of it will depend how much useful data you have in that contact table for segmenting/targeting/personalising, if it's not connected to your CRM.

      Way too much to explain in a video, and it's all changed since I made this one - Real Time Journeys are now the main marketing application. This is the best explanation I've seen community.dynamics.com/blogs/post/?postid=8b2a4ee8-1069-ee11-a81c-000d3a7a1a66

    Hallo Lisa,
    how can i find out when i sent an event live?

  • @bradd5961
    @bradd5961 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Lisa, loving the videos. Is there a way of marketing (ie sending a monthly newsletter) from Dynamic Sales? I ask because as a one man band, $1k per month for a marketing module is too much for many.

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the marketing module is designed for a much bigger use case than that. You can send out emails from Dynamics 365 Sales using an email template but you don't get any of the usual things you need and want with a marketing automation system - compliance with unsubscribing, metrics on clicks and opens, bounces, etc, and protection from spam sender reputation and load on using exchange. You might like to look at a basic email provider like mailchimp for a 1 person business.

    Hi Lisa ! Thabnk you for this informational video on the Microsoft site I not get much information about this product. Can I use this product or the normal MS365 version for email marketing; getting subscribers and sending out newsletters?

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a marketing automation product (competes with things like Marketo), which is connected to Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM). You need to purchase a license, it's not part of M365.

    Good day Lisa, Great Tutorial as always. I currently use dynamics and i can see Marketing on my Sales Hub as well. Marketing------------> Campaign and Quick Campaign. I would like to know if i can use this for marketing. I have done a lot of findings but none have been really Helpful. Thanks

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The sales app alone without marketing allows you to do some very basic marketing like sending an email to a relatively small list of customers - beware it uses exchange (outlook) though, it’s not a full marketing automation solution. Campaign is just a table that allows you to track top line things like the start and end date and costs, it doesn’t functionally do anything. Quick campaign will allow you to send an email to a marketing list.

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. For just a plain text email for error notifications you can use Power Automate, I wouldn't be using Marketing for that. Set up your trigger in Power Automate (whatever the error is you are looking for) and then select - Send an email (Outlook connector) as the action.

    Hello! What about subscripiton lists? are those as well static? But what happens wehn someone subscribes ? how then the list will change ?

    • @LisaCrosbie
      @LisaCrosbie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, subscription lists are static lists, but a special kind of static list that allows for "self service" using a subscription management page. When someone subscribes they are added to that static list.
