I have always had a bootstrap and I think they help a lot. I am 14, so on the younger side, but the bootstrap makes the pad feel more secure on my leg.
Yea i agree same with me, i used to work for a junior a team in my city (Sarnia Sting) Stamkos played here and alot of others..but the goalies here NEVER wear a boot strap
The Bauer's look really good. I'm a bootstrap guy, but I wear it super loose. I'm sure I could play without it, but it's just something I'm used to strapping up. Plus, I feel it keeps the pad from getting to far off the leg. It acts as a tether if you will. Look forward to your review of the Bauer's.
