6'4" 225lb - 35 year old "Beginner" tendy here with size 11 skates. Love the Trav Spec laces. I originally made my own bungee laces after destroying the ones that were given to me, simply ordered some bungee off of Amazon, attached velcro to both ends and ran it through the Toe Bridges, it worked well but i kept needing to replace the bungee every few weeks or so. I then went ahead and decided to give the Trav Pro Laces a go, and they are absolutely worth it. I've had them since mid-May and have loved them, I will eventually upgrade to the Trav 2.0s when (if) I ever need to.

Just ordered a set with the 2 inch spacing. Thanks for the tip and the $5 dollar discount. Been rocking no toe ties for a quite a few years now since the laces would keep breaking and i was tying in 3+ inches of slack so they were doing almost nothing. Probably going to get into the latest Optik pad for next season. Just want to say that the production of your videos has improved exponentially over the years, cheers to you having skills in more than one discipline. Cant wait to try these out.

Bungee cords are much better than regular laces in my opinion. Also removing the boot strap helped quite a lot to free your ankle and get better push.

I’ve played with my boot strap removed for about 5 seasons. I literally just put them back on to try the Lundy loop. Want my pads to sit higher on my leg so hopefully it helps. I use regular armor pro laces too. Prob going to upgrade to trav spec if it helps make my pads sit even higher.

I started using the bungee style with the velcro tabs 2 years ago and it's like night and day. Pad rotates better ( newer Goaliemonkey Kohos ) in my old age haha. Knees and hips dont hurt. Great video with lots of explanation. I went back to the basic toe tie from ProLaces that I had custom ordered a while back because the Armor Hybrid on the Lefevre was limiting my pad rotation. I find the standard model works better for me, but I believe I will try the longer Trav Spec as the standard ProLaces will not last forever. I am already starting to see some fraying.

Just bought a pair. I wear True custom skates, nothing works for easy toe lacing leaving me stuck with time consuming lacs. My craptakular CCM eFlex 4.9 pads came with the short pro laces. They work better than any other lacing option when I switched back to my Warrior G2 pads. But, True custom skates require the short laces to barely get through the front hole of the integrated cowling, the have to go through the from of the skate lace, then the velcro can be pushed together. Too much to do, too easy to stretch or break the skate lace like that. I also had similar issues to you with other products. What sold me on your laces is I saw a pro goalie with True custom skates in a pair of Warrior G6 pads with your laces wrapped properly through the cowling and velcroed properly, not wrapped through skate laces. Looks like I finally found my toe strapping solution.

Laces are in and tested off ice. Man do they work great. Don't know who the pro is in the pictures I saw. Warrior G5 with a custom plastic mounting bracket (G5 doesn't have a toe box) and True customs with integrated cowling. Your laces work great and has enough room for adjustment for when I finally get on the ice to dial in how I want the pads to work. FINALLY a working option. Thanks Trav.

The screw in setup does NOT work, they kept getting undone and losing a screw on the ice well good luck finding that 😂 so now they are just tied in with laces instead, and working great, looking forward to see how long the cord holds up, hopefully a little longer than my sets of flextoe did 😊
