How about a contest for walking knitters? The only time I've seen it is on OLD grainy film decades ago. Yay GG! How precious! Finally, Kumiko's designs r so classy. Thanks for sharing.

I was fascinated with the knitting and walking combo. It’s kind of like those that walk and read. I prefer to walk and memorize scripture. Besides my dogs would never let me knit and walk. However, I am currently training myself to knit and read by using a tablet/book stand sewn up from a tutorial. Happy knitting and reading! Love your podcast.

Another great podcast. The Agave sweater is all over. What a beautiful sweater. I ordered yarn on Monday and had it in my hands on Friday. That is amazing. Thanks for such great service. Have a wonderful week!

Although I haven’t taken a swift on an airplane, I have taken mine camping in our bus before! Two summers ago, it traveled with me to Gettysburg from Ohio and I wound yarn on a picnic table at our campsite to cast on a Summer Sorrel during our trip. Guess what….the yarn is still caked and waiting for me in a project bag! 😂🤣

Most knitting patterns are sized for a two inch difference between the high and full bust. Anyone bigger should think about adding bust darts! Also, horizontal bust darts are usually created using short rows and make an almond shape. If you’re going to do horizontal darts, you have to commit to a particular bra or the dart may end up higher or lower than you expected! I recommend Kim McBrien Evans’ patterns for how to do vertical darts (which are my preference).

I made the Agave & love it also. I plan on making another one of Yumiko's patterns ♥️If you make it you should bring it to the AYC retreat so we can get a picture.

Hi Devin. I knit the Perfect Polo by Hinterm Stein and she uses short rows to add a bust dart for a full bust. It was really straightforward. Hope that is helpful.

Hi Devin, loving your podcasts, thanks for doing them. I too love the Agave top and all of her patterns. Last year I bought her pattern called Bamboo and her yarn which was silk. I should have known better. I can't knit with silk, linen or cotton. I ended up selling the yarn on Ravelry. I'm curious about your wool/cotton mix and think it would make a great Agave. Chris

I admit that I don’t have any interest in knitting while walking, besides the fact that I don’t think I could do it and manage to stay upright. 😀 I don’t even want to listen to anything audio. I just want to walk, look around, listen to birds, sometimes pray, and let my mind unwind. I need to do it more consistently though. Fun podcast! That sweater is going to be so pretty and Gigi’s baby sweater is adorable!

Hi Devin. Years ago at a Stitches convention I took a class from Amy Herzog. She taught how to knit a sweater to your body and wrote several books on the topic. She always said to pick a pattern based on your high bust, not full bust, because that'll give you the best fit through the shoulders. She then explained how to do increases for larger busts and waist shaping. I don't always use her techniques when I knit a sweater, but every time I do I am very pleased with the results.

Just finished the Tolsta Tee by Rebecca (creabea) with bust darts for a D cup. Was very easy to follow the instructions and would be easily incorporated in any pattern. This is a great thing for me who has a full bust on a smaller body. Always hate having a top fit fine over my bust with the excess fabric hanging like a tent off "the balcony". Makes me look double my actual size 😑

I twisted the stitches on my digory also. I had checked checked and still did it , but I had almost 8” before I realized it. I was heartbroken (it’s my first sweater/t-shirt) and very discouraging. But, I looked online for a solution and the suggestion was to knit a few rows flat then join in the round so that’s what I did. Packed the mistake away, got out a new skein and knit on. Once I had all the rib rows done, I sewed the ends together and joined it all together and no one is the wiser. I am now ready to separate for the sleeves

I saw Beth McDonald showing the Agave sweater. I too bought the pattern and have a gorgeous green fingering weight yarn to hold double on the way to make it. I am so excited to see yours. 💕 Thank you for your podcast. I don’t have a knitting crowd except for my “friends” on TH-cam. Hope you have a great week!

I’ve tailored garments in fabric but never tried incorporating darts into knitted garments. But the horizontal darts seem like turning a short row heal to me but with more gradual decrease and increase. In fabric the slant of the bottom and top of the dart are often not the same angle. Be sure to measure the vertical distance from under arm circumstance to full bust circumstance. Ideally the dart will stop short of the point of the bust and very slightly below.

I love a girls weekend too. I’ve never gone with friends though, I have 3 sisters and we are all really close. I’m going on a sister’s overnight at the end of the month. None of them are knitters though, boo.

I so want to knit your Digory tee (bought the pattern) but am a bit nervous as I have never knit a bottom-up top. The suggestion to block partway through makes a lot of sense. I *think* I remember someone suggesting starting with a provisional cast-on, knitting the pattern up from there, and then going back and knitting the length to whatever you want. My question is, wouldn’t there be a line where the knitting changed direction? I guess I should just knit a swatch and find out!

Another reason I'm terrified to knit myself a sweater. And I've been knitting for a while. Increase/decrease/dart...sounds like "nh;oine ;oinewk vnskef qorufj" to me. Increase where? How far down? At what points around? A couple? Three? Four? Then the sweater will be baggy in the waist because it fits the bust. It's like reading a scientific formula for me. And heaven forbid you have narrow shoulders.

Newbie question that you might have answered, but I missed- if you hold two Fiji Fingerings together you get a worsted weight?

Hi Devin. Is your neighbor's dog a bulldog. My bulldog is an anchor until she sees people. There is no way I could knit while walking her. I've had the Agave in my want to knit for a long time. My husband and son used to drink tequila so I would like to knit it in the color of the agave plant. It would be fun to knit it along with you.

Adoption of a child over infant is not for the Faint of heart. Almost every child will have unknown history of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse which is difficult to deal with. The child will have undivided attention, unlike the adults of the household who have many responsibilities, to try to reshape their new environment into the perverted “normal” they came from. It takes perseverance and strength of will and much prayer to parent such children. It’s not something to enter into lightly but the rewards for all concerned can be eternal good.
