#paperlover I love crafting and have been doing cards and paper cutting art for the last two years. Currently on the proccess of making my WEDDING INVITATIONS. Design is done, but getting overwhelmed with choosing papers and figuring out the printing haha The design is very minimal, so I want the richness of the textured paper. So I have to go around those raw edges
Honestly everything has changed post quarantine. So many paper mills and/or warehouses shut down. There has been a shortage overall as well so it’s less about the best place to buy and more about who has it at all. I recommend working directly with your printer. Find a local printer you can trust and follow their recommendations (get samples!). If you are printing in house (yourself), I would start with to a good ol’fashioned Google search. Try to find a more local provider. See if they have wholesale accounts, etc
I haven’t had to source it in forever (not in weddings anymore) but Orange Paper supplies was a great paper supplier back in the day… not sure if 2020 put them out of business or not though!
I'm a #paperlover!!! I'm in a dilemma on what paper should I use for the debut event that I will be organizing. Thank you for this video! ❤️ I just actually look at the the texture and weight when choosing paper till today, I certainly need to know their names
So glad this was helpful! I have an updated version coming out soon as I have switched around some of my papers and will have more resources to share :)
You explained it so well and your work is amazing, I love your videos! :) Do you have a recommendation for printer that print that heavy cardstock (250-300gsm)? Thank you!
Hey Andrea! I only print the Rossi Italian paper in house at this time on my super old canon! I send everything else to professional printers. It works well still so I haven’t splurged for another-but I’ve heard GREAT things about the Canon Pixma pro 100. I’m not sure how it handles specific paper weights, but that is where I would start my research if I was shopping right now ☺️
Blushed Design thank you so much for this recommendation, helps a lot as I have been looking for a while. Even though I can give most to my local print shop, would be great to just be able to run a print at home for smaller orders and also trials, envelopes etc. Many thanks!! 🌸☺️
Excellent point! I guess that’s why there are so many different types of paper (way more than what I generally fall back on and listed here). Depending on what look you are going for, there’s a paper for you out there!
Hi! Love your informative videos! Any recommendations on printer brands and series for completing printing services like this? Also, do you outsource your printing services to another company? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated-I have been looking into beginning this venture. Thank you!
I outsource as much as possible! As a work from home mom, my life and work is simpler and smoother if I cut out the printing-there is a lot more time and planning to print your own, though there CAN be cost benefits if you price right. I have heard great things about Canon Pixma printers though! If I was in the market, I would start there
It depends on your printing method. I might avoid the Rossi Italian paper as that limits your printing methods and go with either the cotton Lettra or handmade paper. But the overall aesthetic will effect your paper choice
Hurrah for a fellow #paperlover! hahaha I generally use 270gsm/100lb for my envelopes-I don't like them to be too thin. The Italian handmade paper is 120g though, which isn't my favorite aspect of those beauties! I definitely need to use a liner with those even just for the sake of privacy for my clients!
I can't believe it can be this good
Believe it 😉
Can't thank you enough. This was exactly what I was looking for :) I was so lost!!!
Oh I’m so glad!! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions

That sounds beautiful!! I love the balance between simple and textured-good luck!

Where do you get your Rossi paper from?
I haven’t had to source it in forever (not in weddings anymore) but Orange Paper supplies was a great paper supplier back in the day… not sure if 2020 put them out of business or not though!
Where can I find the Italian paper? I tried searching it online and couldn’t really find it.
Thank you SO much:)
It's Rossi: rossi1931.com

Girl after my own heart
Are you a #PaperLover?!
Tell me what your favorite paper type is
Blushed Design #PAPERLOVER!!!! I’m so glad to finally get that off my chest. You spoke to my soul!
#TeamCottonRag!!!!
Where doy you buy them?
I work with a few different suppliers. Orange Art is a big one, though many of my printers supply the paper so I don’t have to purchase it directly
#paperlovers
Woo-hoo!
