Tyler, just for info - if you're gonna put the Rome/Floyd system in there, which is a Harris system, ALL system frequencies need to be entered, because any system frequency can suddenly become the control channel.
This video is great! Thanks for making this video. I've been able to set up NAS on a few systems in my area and program all the HAM and GMRS repeaters into my Harris. There is one system that I can't quite figure out and I'll probable need some help wrapping my head around it. Could you contact me and maybe point me in the right direction?
How do you select between different talk group lists. I have an XG 75p programmed with one system but I have three lists of talk groups. I can only see the first list. I cannot select between the others.
So why do the tx frequencies in the trunked frequency set matter if you're not transmitting? Also, if the -45 offset takes you lower than the band limit on the radio, will the +30 work?
That would be awesome having more non-affiliate scanning videos for all makes and models of these radios from Motorola all the way to Kenwood it beats having to do Bendix King even though they can also do non-affiliate scanning as well with no system keys as well either I really want to sell the Motorola XTS 2500 radio I've got so now I don't have to worry about using system keys and whatnot because I'd rather have a simplified radio that doesn't even need system keys in the first place anyways because that's what wackers usually gets screwed up with and it creates a hell of a lot of issues so please keep doing what you're doing and upload all these kind of videos because we all in the radio Community love using these compared to those Uniden scanners that just don't cut it that way we don't even need any use for SD cards or any of that bullshit that those scanners use and no longer need databases at all like importing and all that stuff that that software uses for scanners so this is the way to go commercial there's a hell of a lot of audio accessories and options all that you need and you can do a hell of a lot more more variety basically and lots of options and you're not held back by anything since these are tri-band radios so hopefully I can get rid of this 800 xts2500
No worries! I actually didnt have trunking on my VP600, it was only a VHF P25 Radio, but it did have Radio Wide Scan which let me scan across different zones. It was a sweet radio and I wish I wouldnt have gotten rid of it.
Great video, thank you for posting. How does one purchase the RPM14 software? I am new to Harris and want to switch over from another radio manufacture but I am not sure where to go to buy the cable and software. Thanks again for the video. Very well done.
Would you consider a video showing scanning 2 sites? I maybe asking this wrong but cant it scan 2 sites if they have same wacn and system id ?just rfss and site id be dif.part of a statewide system. thanks
Harris radios are PERFECT for NAS. I have come to realize that the most useful radio for a HAM who wants NAS also is probably an XL-200P with the same features plus having ARC4 ability.
I haven't set mine up that way, but I will give a shot. I don't believe it can though. Not like an EF Johnson that can do RWS (Radio Wide Scan). If you have more information on that I would gladly take your input.
@@unityxg Referencing this comment, Can the radio hold multiple systems and have the ability to change between them on the fly from the radio. So for instance can I put "County A,b and C" in the radio and then change between "county A" and "county B" using a zone or channel function of the radio
So i set it up and itl scan control channels but when it lands on one nothing happens. I have it sitting next to my unication g5 on the same talk group for reference. Its not picking up any traffic. Ffic
@unityxg alright so I'm trying give you contact info so I can send it over but apparently I can't my comments keep deleting. My callsings kd2yhi, i think i have links on qrz im going to check it now
Hi there! Have you found any way to use the import/export feature to speed up programming of XG's? While RPM is excellent, working in Excel for Ham programming would be so much easier, especially with Mission Plans/Code Plugs that are constantly in flux...
Hi.. first let me thank you for this video. is there a specific version of RPM needed? What version did you use? attempting to do this with RPM 14c05 om a XG-100m is there anything different on a XG-100-m?
This is sooo much better than how you have to do it on a Motorola
Outstanding video, made programming my radio super easy. 🏆🏆🏆

Good Information! I didnt catch that.
I saw Monroe/Ontario and chuckled
Now what are the settings needed to make it roam from tower to tower if you travel? Instead of having it locked onto 1 tower or did I miss that part ?
You did it! Thanks again. Funny that you were looking at Monroe/Ontario County which is where I live.

I have 2 motorola srx2200. I want one to connect to pc and read data like gps. Is this possible?

Little off topic. How did you program your VP600 as a wide scan? Armada requires a system key to program trunked freqs.

Google enhanced control channel setup for an XG100P. Radioreference has many forums on this topic.
Could you confirm that 700 mhz is +45 and not -45? I can't seem to get them to work when -45.
Yes my apologies. -45 is for 800 and +30 is for 700.
Wow nice no system key needed Kudos goes to Harris now I have a reason to sell the xts2500 and get one of these XG100's instead

Can radio do multi system scan? One Nas and one that's active with a authorized system ID ?
I haven't set mine up that way, but I will give a shot. I don't believe it can though. Not like an EF Johnson that can do RWS (Radio Wide Scan). If you have more information on that I would gladly take your input.

Why can't I set up a p25 non affiliated scan on my efj 5100es but I can do conventional listening ? I have the latest firmware and PCC program
I heard that you can with 2.18.6 but haven't found any docs on it.
@@3fingerclay439 It's my understanding that you can use 2.18.6 if you upgrade your firmware to 6.18.0
So how much will you charge to program my radio?
Will this NAS also work on a Harris P25 phase 1 system with no issues? thanks
Absolutely!
Does this work SAME for xg75p and xg 25?
Yes

@unityxg i got some stuff on there that would piss people off if it was out in the wild or i'd try mega or something
You may need to set it to enhanced CC if you're trying for a M system.
Are you using the cracked version of RPM14? I'm having a little trouble getting this cracked version working to program trunked stuff.
Where did you get the cracked version?

Unfortunately not in RPM! Its odd to me because you can see a table overview of everything, but aren't able to export/import.
Can someone help me find the RPM?
eBay.

Should all be the same between the 100P and 100M! R14C05 should work well for both of them.
Edit: I was using R14C05 in this video.
@@unityxg thank you
You said it’s minus 45 for 800mhz. What is it for 700mhz?
Good catch! It is +30mhz for 700.
Can you do a video on programming an xl-200p using rpm2 ?/
Absolutely! I would love to.
@ABG CAPITAL Any suggestion on where to get used xl-200p's for less than 4 grand?
@@treeski3410 Ebay, its kind of hard because that radio is to new
Great news! I now own an XL200P and am going to work on videos for this one next.
