I always knew there was something wrong with my tongue. But, my family kept saying I'm crazy. It's good to finally see I was right all along! I failed two of those tongue mobility tests. 😄 Now the only question is a surgery or not.. 😂
Indeed these are game-changers! Thank you! I want to share that to accomplish some of these, I found it helped to stretch out my ankles and feet (in the most satisfying way!).. Our tensions are all inter-related.
Zach, I usually never comment on videos but zach you are an amazing guy who knows what he is talking about. Thanks for this man, may God give you many pleasures of life. ❤
Brotha so I have suffered from severe sciatica for years now I'm improving and strengthing my core. It hard when your jaw locks in place this is a wonderful videos ty
If your tongue can't fit flat on the roof of your mouth, your palate is too narrow. If you have scalloping on your tongue, your lower jaw is too narrow. Palate and jaw expansion would greatly help this. I would argue that most if not all people struggling with issues described in this video have recessed and narrow jaws (the tongue-tie contributes to this).
You’d have to ask a doctor, but some evidence shows 50% ROM loss being an indicator. 50-75% ROM loss is 50/50. Have to make sure you do myofunctional therapy beforehand
Hi Zac , I noticed your dental midline is slightly deviated to the left, like what I have currently, and on top of it overjet. I'm curious if the dental midline deviation affects you in any way in your daily mobility and balance. Thanks!
i've been mewing consistently for the past 10 months (and mewing properly for the past 6 months - it took about 4 months just to get enough palate expansion), i may have i caught myself snoring just once since. it used to be about every other month. now that my tongue knows to sit in the pocket, it rarely slips out of place while i sleep
I have a narrow palate but not as narrow to get an expander. I cant fit my tounge in my palate and I dont really know what to do. Was you in the same position? In that case I will just keep pushing the tounge against the palate as much as I can and hope the palate expands.
@@Es_majonnas just keep going. it's not a matter of hope. if you are consistent, your palate will expand - the degree of expansion depends on many different variables. it takes about 4 months to even begin to feel some expansion. the first 2 or 3 months, you can't even tell if anything is actually happening. that is the hardest part and probably when a lot of people quit
@@360.Tapestry ok thanks for the answer! It is just that because I cant get a suction hold I cant remeber to hold the tounge up for longer periods and then it leaves the roof a little bit at a time so I dont realize. And because of that I find it hard to be consistent. I will try this and eventually come back in a few months to update. Sorry for bad english :)
@@Es_majonnas yeah, it's hard to be consistent at first because your tongue will probably begin to lose the vacuum seal almost immediately lol i struggled with the same thing for the first couple of months. it feels like a long road. but a year from now, you'll look back and be glad you kept going. i suggest you try doing a few sets of suction holds while lying down before bed. it will be easier that way because gravity is not working against you
@360.Tapestry Ok thanks a lot! I will remind myself when my motivation is low that you are surely many others experienced the same thing but did push trough anyway. Thanks for the advice again!
Big Z, often when I bend down to pick something up, I get a lot of pressure in my head (more than what you would expect from just blooding rushing to the head) any idea what could be the underlying cause? Could this be due to forward head posture? Many thanks in advance and thanks for all your content! 👍
The cranium expands just like any other area (a small amount). If you can’t shift pressure within the cranium, so could have something like this. Similar phenomenon as when your ears clog on a plane.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, really appreciate it. What would be the best route for solution? Cranial sacral therapy or is that not the route, would any of your videos help? :)
@@StrawberryFilterTv feel like my head is going to explode 😅😂 What are you taking from Zac’s response.. I’m too dumb to decipher the solution from his explanation (really helpful insight as to what the issue is, but I’m still unsure of the solution)
Somehow i speak with more clarity in my second language (english) after doing these excercises. Can these excercises fully substitute for the tongue tie release procedure ?
The problem now with me is that i don’t snore, rather i do suction between tongue and mouth palate all night and when i wake up, it really hurts swallowing. Any help would be appreciated
Bro better do diaphragm breathing exercises before you sleep the tongue will eventually stick to palate and u will not feel pain, and remember if get pain while doing suction hold don't do it , u will mess up in end , do suction hold as exercise and leave it focus on breathing
@@Tcarmy1929 thanks. so you mean i should do exactly the same as the video ? doesnt the video makes it more suction, which will increase sucking palate at night?
@@Matrix-tz5ycno what I mean is suction will not solve your problem, just train your tongue that's enough , if you do suction hold it will give temporary impact so for a permanent results practice perfect diaphragmatic breathing you will get videos about that in the same channel , I will dam guarantee you your tongue will stay up in the palate without any pressure for 24/7
He knows his stuff y’all
Yahhhhh mewing, finally bro. Orthotropic’s is so underrated. You are always incredible
Thank you so much!

You need to start using good hashtags man i mean when i search for videos but they don't show up that's why hashtags are important.
Big Z, gold content as always. Keep it up man!

Sir, you are a great professional! As always! Thanks!!!
Been following your Tongue Exercises for a while, so thankful for a whole routine! Thanks man
Awesome! Hope it helps!
Hella awesome content!!
Glad you dig it!!
I tried it yesterday,I don't know if it's psychological.I think It works because i breathed easier and slept well last night

You bet!
How does this video only have 11.000 views? This is gold, especially compared to all the garbage you see about mewing.
Thank you 🦋
Can you still do this if I have a cranial side bend to the left? Currently trying to fix it the side bend
I also have cranial side bend to my left can you plz tell what are you doing to fix yours??
Hiya Big Z, great stuff as always 🙂 So when would it be beneficial to cut the tongue tie?

Thanks mate. Could I ask when you had your tongue tie cut did it lessen neck tension and make it feel easier to breathe?

Hi big z, is there any correlation between tongue position and pelvic floor?
@zaccupples should the tip of tongue be touching the teeth?
My tinitus sounds crazy wow, but it feel very interesting, thanks 😁

It’s an issue altering cranial pressure

If you have the tie removed doesn’t it eventually grow back?
Yes. That’s why you need to do myofunctional therapy afterwards so it doesn’t scar down and you keep the motion
