    What about the factor of trying to improve visual clarity that may initiate the habit of trying to see better?

    • @ZacCupplesPT
      @ZacCupplesPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m not a vision expert, but there is such a thing as training too much convergence, which is needed for focus. Have to balance with diverging exercises

    I had very severe postural problems (including dystonia) that started after a bad car accident. It pull my chin and chest together and then my body changed shape to compensate. It became so hard to breathe I started seeing lots of doctors that thought it was anxiety for some reason.
    Eventually at rest my forehead would fall all the way to my right knee. Whole nervous system fell apart. I got a gym membership and have been rebuilding the connection from my mind to my body. Now that I’m able to pick my head up I can breathe so much better and have such better health. Crazily it’s become second nature to take a deep breath again. I almost wonder if the insane posture was my body trying to get my neck positioned so I could breathe. Whatever’s going on, it’s very much driven by breathing

    It took me over 4 years of daily effort to actually change my posture issues and even then it's still hard to remember to subconsciously maintain it. Stretching, muscle strength, and habit are the only 3 things that mattered for me.

    You said that a forward head posture can cause the mandible to get retruded but is it possible for the reverse to happen - a class 2 malocclusion (retruded jaw) to be the primary cause of forward head posture?

    What's up coach :) You recommend restoring anterior expansion first then posterior second. Is that order the same for both narrow and wide ISAs? Thanks big Z!

    • @ZacCupplesPT
      @ZacCupplesPT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great q athlete 😉
      Generally you are going to get posterior before anterior. If I have someone who has superficial muscle activity in the front (rectus), you’d flip that first.
      In the case of forward head, I’m going to assume the latter just so I can hit the “worst case scenario”. But ideally you’d assess to determine what you’d need.
      Hopefully that Clarifies!

    My whole body has increased tension to the point where if i sit crossed legged i feel tingling within a minute. Same with arms in certain positions. And I have these constrictions A LOT in the pelvis. What do you reccomend?

      It’s hard to say without evaluating you. If you noticing any tingling, your best bet would be to get checked out by a medical provider

    Hi Zac ,I recently have this weird thing happen whenever I bend my head down, my left legs began tingling ,same with my lower left ribs and it feels weird ,not painful or anything, and if i hold the position longer the tingling goes away . And it all started after i tried a weird postion where you hold your legs and butt up vertically by lying on your back with your head ,neck and shoulders touching the floor and your hands supporting your legs.
    What could it be? Should i panic? ,is there any exercise to fix this? Please answer

    • @ZacCupplesPT

      It’s probably worth checking out to rule in/out any bad stuff. Could be just a bit of limited nerve mobility, but get checked
