Gotta love him...I remember he was really into his role, being Aragorn for three years of production time. He sometimes took Anduril with him in his spare time, some people called the police when he took it to restaurant.
This guy is so classy and smart, a good actor and a good guy !
Anduril, Flame of the West, forged from the shards of Narsil. Put aside the ranger. Become who you were born to be.
He really cares for that sword. He rests it on his shoulder for a minute to subtly wipe off the finger prints so it doesn’t rust
Depends what kind of replica it is. I have one very beautiful one at home, but its like 440 stainless, so it wont rust... and also is overly heavy and would not survive any mildly serious fencing. :-D Maybe this one is better.
I grew up reading and loving LOTR and this man brought my dreams to life in ways i never could have imagined! Long live the king!
Viggo honestly looks more Numenorean here than in the movies. I think it's because he's got no beard.
the gray hair makes him look epic. awesome seeing him hold anduril again.
LOTR is really a part of my life. Even this simple celebration makes my heart warm up!
The King has returned.
The Return of The Sword to The Return of The King.
I get the feels when Viggo caught a glimpse of Andúril.
Ride with me!
Viggo Mortensen is quite the renaissance man.
Elendil!!!!!!!
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king....
Æææææ så KUUULT! Så hyggelig at du fikk møte legenden selv! :D ENDA en grunn til at du er min favoritt Intervjuer!
❤❤ Takk!
I love how he never let his ego go berserk. Still the calm, collected and pleasant man that made him worthy to be Aragorn. He IS Aragorn
Do you ever have moments where you see someone from your childhood that was at their peak when you were young, then see them a couple decades later and experience immense dread because of how much they've aged?
Viggo looking like my grandpa, holy crap, I feel like I've got one foot in the grave.
Hurts my heart him looking so much older 🥹
damn, Aragorn looks old now. He must be 267 years old now.
I know he's half Danish but this is the first time hearing him speak Danish and of course he sounds like a native. Awesome that Aragorn is half Danish which is close to Tolkien's love for Norse mythology.
I thought he kept the sword after production along with his horse
This is obviously a copy. Anyone can buy this.
he gave the original to one of those tonight show guys, I forget which one lol but I just saw a recent interview with viggo on that same show and they talked about the sword on his wall and how it was the original.
@@claytonbarnes6644 It was probably Stephen Colbert, he’s one of the biggest Tolkien fans in the world
This. This is love and respect for the source material.
Not what that new "a quick way of making money" crap that was released recently is.
Loved Viggo in the original movies.
Legend!
I was surprised when the video starts in Norwegian, and he answers in Danish but adjusted to sound easier for Norwegians, and I understand all of it because I'm Swedish. Damn, it's nice to be Scandinavian.
It’s a bit harder for us to understand danish than swedish, but it works :)
@@benjaminbrekken Likewise! Danish is much more difficult to understand than Norwegian but it works if you tune into the way their phonetics work.
Narsil is my name, a mighty sword; Telchar made me in Nogrod.”
"Sun. I am Andúril who was once Narsil, sword of Elendil. The slaves of Mordor shall flee from me. Moon".
how is he old wtf
Both G.I. Jane and the White Wizard would be proud. And also Frodo. And Aragorn's Queen 👑
He speaks fluently danish.
Well, he is a dane. So he's been practicing since birth.
it sounded VERY american danish.
American Danish is a sweet pastry
Wow, I wonder why
@@XandermanI think he was trying to make himself more intelligible to the interviewer.
i will follow you my brother ,my captain,my king.
Vigo is top
This made me shed a tear. I grew up with the lord of the rings. My whole famliy did. We watched the moves, We played the games. Even spend allot our allowance's on pringles in hopes of winning the prize to see the set of Lord of the rings!
What is he saying that will will miss if we don't have sharp eyes?
He is saying that Anduril (the sword) is in his new movie. But you only get to see a glimpse of it and you might miss it if not viewed on a larger screen
@@MysticCowboy77 ok thanks
Anduril, Flame of the West, held by the 110 yrs old King Aragorn II Elessar gave me goose bumps.... 🥲
