Thank you! I really enjoy making the videos! I am glad they are relatable. I honestly believe I have the most mature following of any gun channel. This is reflected in the comments section. Sure I have the obligatory troll or two but overall I have some of the best commenters on all of TH-cam, not just gun channels. I appreciate you guys!

Great shooting! I’ve thought recently about picking up the 351c just as an ode to my dad. He always wanted a 22 mag revolver but would never buy himself one. Yes, I regret never just buying one for him. He passed 3 years ago. I find myself tiring of the chasing caliber/capacity game and just want something light, simple and as dad would say “a 22 mag is all anyone needs for anything you likely to run into”.
Thank you for your down to earth video. Rather.

sorry for the majority of shooters always at stationary targets and while standing still. mr. grumpy bear or bad guy closing your all in for a big suprise. what moving while shooting, hey no fair, time out, do over. on top of that many vids and shooters "take all da. day" to get the first shot off.

That was some really good shooting! Son, I am impressed! These little J-frame S&W revolvers are much more accurate than they are given credit for. The real limitation is the shooter. You did extremely well, as as you said, the white dot front sight was bigger than the disk you were shooting at at 40 yards.

    • @buffalosoutdoors
      @buffalosoutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Thanks Frank. You’re spot on. The j frames are plenty accurate. They get a bad rap sometimes because it takes more skill to milk that accuracy out of them than it does the larger frames.

    • @joeltowle2737

  • @jamesclark6420

This is one of the best backup guns, which I routinely carry in a side pocket. It shoots right to the sights with most loads. I have many 2" barrel revolvers. There is no difference in mechanical accuracy from 2" to 6". None at all. This was tested very thoroughly as far back as the 1930s and covered extensively in Ed McGivern's Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting. But the myth of inaccuracy in short barrels persists. They are more challenging to shoot well. But entirely capable of it. Bill Jordan wished for exactly a gun of this type in his 1960s gunfighting manual No Second Place Winner. Now it's here, and it's an especially excellent piece. One of my favorite handguns in general. It needs no improvement.

The ballistics of .22 magnum and .22 LR are almost identical in a barrel this short, so I prefer the S&W 43C because its give you 8 rounds of 22 LR instead of 7 rounds of .22 mag. Rock on, sir.

Thanks for showing what the 351 can do! I pocket carry one most days. It’d be great to see it go up against other pocket guns like the LCR in .327 but loaded with .32 long. There are tons of .380 and .32/25 ACP pocket gun videos out there but almost none with .22 mag out of a snub. Gun Sam does a couple but with a 4 inch barrel.

Some great mods I’d recommend- 1. Delta ergo grip- zero recoil but also aligns you out of the draw.
    2. ClipDraw- let’s you carry IWB with NO holster!
    3. Put some good fluorescent paint on the white dot for better low light visibility. Not tritium but it helps.

By the way one of my favorite opening intros to any of your videos that I’ve watched is the Smith and Wesson model 41 opening intro were you speed it up your video showing you walk what seems like miles away and then shooting something with it and hitting it with open sites, I still think about that intro a lot :-)

I was lucky enough to purchase about 4 years ago a Smith & Wesson 342 airlite ti (aluminum alloy frame titanium cylinder) 11oz!!!! .38 sp centennial.. I added full size rubber hogue mono grips .. covers the back strap and cushions recoil gets all my fingers on the grip for maximum control and with practice I'm able to hit targets up to 50 ft... The grips are still not too big I carry it in a DeSantis Superfly pocket holster in my right front pocket of my jeans and there's plenty of room and plenty of room to draw.. my carry ammo is federal HST.38 +p 130 gr huge hollow points which are flush with the case mouth like a wad cutter

Great shootin Buff! I’ve always wanted a 351, always been interested in 22 mag. But as you know, so many calibers so little time! Those little pills were making it to the plate pretty quick too even at 45 yds. Best wishes

    Great video as always!
I noticed one minor error in the description, the Halfmile sniper link is the same as the review link.
    Thanks for your videos.

Hey Buffalo, I had a S&W 340PD once. I passed it on to my nephew, it was just a bit to much for me. It would disappear in your pocket which was cool but oh boy, you really don’t want to shoot 357’s out of it to often. I found I could shoot Speer Gold Dot short barrel loads sparingly. It’s kind of a magnum lite. I’ll stick to my 642, it’s lite enough! Great video sir, as usual.

That was some really good shooting. Id say it was a combination of a good pistol and a good shooter.
