I had a friend bring this with my name engraved in white on the back of the knife, back for me from Switzerland. Great little knife, sharpened very well.
I got one of these as a gift from my girlfriend back in highschool (many, many moons ago), it has my name engraved it it. Very cool SAK and thanks for sharing. Cheers!
A great slim knife that for a certain couple jobs is perfectly fit for purpose. I don't have the Victorinox version but the similar Wenger model. One of the few Wengers I have. Thanks for sharing.
Your show is Fabulous. LOVE IT! I have a Swiss knife but it's thick and has more blades and whistles... like corkscrew, magnifying glass, saw, etc. Keep up the good work!
Definitely one of the best heavy hitter. Swiss Army knives out there. Get the combination tool that goes in the Corkscrew and you’ve got a winner. And if you want, you can also add a few other micro tools to replace the toothpick in tweezer.
No matter the model , I have never been disappointed by a S. A. K. . How many brands can you say that about ? I have always felt about the corkscrew the same way I feel about spey blades , I don't really need it , but if it has to be there.....o.k. , I'll live with it . Great review .
Thanks TK. This is usually the cheapest SAK in the Uk. It would be easy to turn this into an emergency fire starter with one of the ferro rid adding that fit into the corkscrew or replace the tooth pick. It is a shame they discontinued the Walker. I think so need to add this one to my wish list.
Completely arbitrary. Just something we try to describe as consistently as we can with a guess. Everyone's scale will be a little different so it's more relevant in relation to my own reviews.
The Waiter is an underrated good value low cost SAK. IMO it is a better lightweight carry for EDC than the Sportsman & Tourist as it is a single layer SAK & the Combo Tool beats out the regular opening layer tools of a separate can opener/small flat screwdriver and medium screwdriver / bottle cap lifter on the Sportsman & Tourist. I often carry a Waiter in my pocket at home as it is so lightweight.
Well said, Steve. The minimalist approach to the single layer design is appealing to me, and the cost of the Waiter is frequently less than the Bantam, even with the additional of the corkscew which can hold all the little add-on drivers and fire ants available for it.
@@ThriftyKaniffy Happy Saturday TK, I have 2 Waiters, one is a well used old one with the original red scales & a relatively new one I bought in mid-2022 when it was on sale at a 30% discount from my local Victorinox dealer and I have fitted it with Rubi red translucent scales, added black tweezers & toothpick, a straight pin, a mini-screwdriver & a black Victorinox nylon lanyard to make it look quite snazzy & it is this one that I pocket carry frequently at home especially when wearing shorts.
Indeed a very basic model, but with a reasonable blade size. The combination tool is a nice asset. This one and the Bantam are the most basic yet quite handy to have around models. Cheers John.

Nice gift. Yes, these frequently get personalized. Thanks for sharing, YU. Welcome to the channel.
Great little office carry. I put a small screwdriver for my glasses in the corkscrew.
Yep, those are really handy. Sucks to be without eyeglasses. Congrats on 1K, buddy. Well deserved.

The combo tool is 5 in 1. The point can also be used with some Phillips screws
It sure can. Thanks Bigs.

Simple, slim design Wenger or Victorinox you can't go wrong. Thanks for taking a look, Ed.

I'd rather screw than spey any day. Thanks, Michael.

Yep this is a great one for the little add-ons that are offered since it has the corkscrew. Thanks for having a look, MB.
The combo tool can also be used for a Phillips by using the square corner 😊
Yes, it can indeed. Thanks for watching.
One of my favourite SAKs! I love how slim it is! The Executive is probably my favourite, though. Cheers!
Oh, well stay tuned then. Thanks, Raven.
The Victorinox "WAITER" is my 1st self-bought SAK. Prior to it my father gave me his Tinker which my eldest brother bought for him. 😊
An awesome minimalist carry that wont offend anyone...well almost anyone. Thanks, Bernard
Wow! Great minds think alike. I just picked up this model in an antique store. Thanks for identifying the model for me, and for the review, my friend.
Glad I could be of some use, Tom. Smart pick-up, buddy.
Great look at this one TK!! Thanks for sharing!!
You bet, BigJ. The Waiter is slim and simple.
Another great review. When you quantify the pull by “5-1/2” for example, is that in pounds of force?

@@ThriftyKaniffy ok got it, thanks. I noticed that your buddy Slipjoint Sawyer also does this
@@favoritethings3065 Many of us TH-camrs do.
Very minimalist but gets the job done. The original Waiter was on the 84mm frame and also came with an ink pen I believe. Very hard to track down.
Thanks Tobias. I'd heard it was once called the Bartender. Take care.
Yes mine with a ink pen with White scale in 91mm.with a scisor with the screw and the grove in the corkscrew.???
Great video John! Minimal tools, but well used ones. I had a corkscrew on a cheap imitation sak straighten out on me.
The real ones are considerably better. Thanks for having a look, Randy
Nice thin design, thanks for sharing, TK.
Yes, it is very easy to carry the Waiter. Thanks, Jose.
THANK YOU 🌲

Yes, and I found this for less than what the Bantam sells for. Victorinox pricing is weird?!? Thanks, Jeroen.

What a magnificent carry!
Glad you liked it, Rick. A refined simplicity to it. QC for days.
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
You’re welcome 😊
The waiter is always one of the cheaper SAKs on Amazon. Great to gift your real waiter at a nice dinner.
A very kind idea, Scooter. Thanks for watching,
Cool
Thanks for watching, Jeff.
@@ThriftyKaniffy it is my pleasure
I don't like it as it's an 84mm ? I prefer 91mm ... it's great if you break it up too mod 91mm though..
Ok Kung-Fu, I like the 91mm designs as well. Thanks for watching.
