Anyone else bust out in tears when “ Mom” popped up on her phone? I remember those days of excitement when surprising mine and receiving that call. Such blessings to be a witness to your relationship. Such joy!!
In tears 😪 my mom passed already but we used to do these surprises for each other. I love watching these two ❤💕❤

This is one of the things I love about this channel. There is so much variety. Working in the garden, yes, but there is also shopping trips with mom, making arrangements, working with houseplants, cooking and so on. I love it. :)

So many of us gardeners are alone in our passions. Our spouses are not usually as enthusiastic as we are for projects, shopping for plants, or involved in any way. This is why we so love Aaron's involvement and when I heard you talking to him, knowing he was out there with you, whether or not just to help film, it brought me joy. I know he is often there silently, but its more fun when I know.
I’m live in Sw Oregon and have really enjoyed watching your videos. Watching your relationship with Mom is so cool. My Mom is gone now ,but used do a lot of quilting or sewing projects together. I really miss her. I used to take her gifts or plants just out of the blue., like you do for your Mom. Your Mom is so sweet and she reminds me of mine. Your so lucky to have her. Your mom’s reaction is great! I like that you start something and look at it, and say you do not like, then start over. I am so critical of anything I do, and feel that I always fail. Now I know to just keep trying and not give up.

I too always bought and fixed flowers for my mom! She passed away in July and I made sure she had a beautiful spray of flowers and I also make sure there is a beautiful spray of flowers on my parents grave! I miss them so much!! Always cherish those moments together!
My favorite part of the video (barely bc the whole thing was awesome), but was Benjamin knocking the pillows off the couch at the end 🤣🤣🤣…….. I admit I had been eyeing them sitting there so perfectly during the out-tro thinking…….. how do they get things to stay so nicely set. Then we saw reality and I was like, yep, things can be beautiful AND lived in and enjoyed. Second favorite was the sleigh and ‘reindeer’ theft. 👊 Benjamin subtly ‘stole’ the show today. 🥰

Both arrangements came out beautiful! The colors and textures are so complementary and work really well together. I definitely agree with the battery operated tea lights instead of real candles.
I would love to see more arrangements like this where the plants are nestled together in separate pots. I am always looking for pretty projects to put together for my office and these seem less fussy and easier to water! Thanks!

There is a special blessing for those of us in the rainy parts of the Northwest. We can go out and peel big chunks of very moist and lovely moss of the sides of the trees.

I love the arrangements! I'm always amazed how your cats leave your things alone inside your home (and well, outside too actually). I have a special breed of cat called the feline-raccoon that steals everything in my house and hides things. If I notice he's about to steal something and yell his name, he literally grabs it faster and takes off with it.

Due to recent events in our family,some sad,none of us feels much like all that exuberance but watching you and your family doing all that is balm to the soul. As a matter of fact now it's properly Advent I am going to do a modest display over the weekend. In the other video,your two kids playing with sticks in the kitchen,it so reminded me of my own childhood!

The arrangements were beautiful. I am envious of the amount of beautiful pots that Laura has in the studio. I feel the need to collect some other varieties outside of the terracotta pots. Also Laura's mom is so sweet.
Hi Laura! Don't forget you can always use the flame-less candles! If you invest in good quality ones, they look so realistic!! I know I've purchased some from Pottery Barn that are great! Plus they're safe for little ones and plants!

Still one of my favorite spots on your whole property is the brick path by the house on the west side. I just love that view so much, both looking toward the piece in the center of the circle, and from that end looking back. To me, that is one the most "right" places you've created. It's so delicate and strong at the same time. It's got the beautiful focal points you want from a formal area, plus an intimacy. The proportions of everything, especially the circle area that I know so many were unsure of (not me!), in relation to the path and surrounding planting -- so satisfying. (I often stop the video early on when I see something and comment. I don't know if lots of people do that?)
Love both Laura!! Battery operated tea lights, YES! Baby girl will be safe. Just wondering if Mom will feel like most of us if you came with your camera to our houses. We'd see everything we feel is a mess. It's usually not, but we initially think someone else might think so. :) Love your and your Mom's close relationship! Thanks for my GA morning moment!
Amazing @2:31 I was like the pot in the centre of the video would be perfect for your mom... fast forward to a stolen sleigh and run away deer and it was really the perfect pot!! Love this did some potting of my own today such a great feeling to use what you have on hand to make something new.
