- Data flies the Enterprise 1701-D into the Borg Cube with Geordi, Deanna, and Beverly on the bridge. Meanwhile Picard, Riker, and Worf are on the Cube trying to disrupt the signal and rescue Jack.
"My gut tells me I can do this."
Star Trek: Picard
Season 3, Episode 10. The Last Generation (2023)
Data: "I will always be puzzled by the human predilection for piloting vehicles at unsafe velocities."
1:10 Data, 22 years later in his head: "Oh, now I get it"
Now that is the battle scenes we deserve. I will be sad if this is all we see of the new improved Data. Brent Spinner has not lost his touch in tapping the Ops panel.
When you've had the muscle memory of doing something for 7 years, it never really goes away
"Here goes the entire budget of Season 1 of The Next Generation!"
More the entire series.
"Please! Everyone just trust me!" said the android who became man.
i have to say seeing data "hot rod" fly the enterprise through a borg cube was very satisfying
currently on star trek online building an homage to this scene building a super agile galaxy class ship hehehe
Its for sure one of my top 5 Data moments 😄
Yeah my favorite scene was when counselor Troi was like why am I sensing enjoyment and data has this look of excitement and joy on his face. For the first time in his life he got to drive the Enterprise like he stole it.
Flying a B52 like a F15 fighter!
The old girl still got it
The only thing that would have improved this for me would have been if they had made a point of saying/showing that Beverly was firing the ship's weapons.
Best Data moment ever
First time I saw 0:59, I honestly thought the Enterprise was about to do a barrel roll, but obviously didn't😄
Data in 'God-Mode'
Structural integrity fields, inertial dampeners, artificial gravity generators, there's a lot Data can play with that a normal pilot can't.
"It's been a minute, huh Mav"....
He's on the Highway. To. The. Danger. Zone ! Stirling Archer approved.
I would always trust data.
What a wonderful payoff to 7 years of friend building for Geordie to go "fuck it YOLO I TRUST MY BESTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!"
Troi: I should have stuck with the Russian SGC
You remembered her from Stargate, the WaterGate episode. Salud !
Although Data's piloting skills were on point, let's not forget that Crushers weapons skills were magical
Data becoming one with the source 🖖🏻
The only thing that would’ve made this return to the 1701-D more awesome is if Reg Barclay, Alyssa Ogawa, and Chief O’Brien also came back to help out.
Data’s computational speed prob outstrips even the enterprises ai
It always could. WIth controlled emotions, Data is nearly unstoppable.
@@justchris846 They didn't quite TRUST Data because he had some of Loki's - I mean Lore's personality. I can imagine Lore saying that he was " burdened with glorious purpose ".
Not sure who enjoy that more Data or the Enterprise.
Having not watched Picard I have two observations. 1. “That’s a mechanical line… no one can pilot mechanical”
2. At the end of the day all sci fi goes back to Star Wars!
Yeah, didn’t like this for that reason. Picard is more so “let’s do cool shit” then good writing. Current writers of trek don’t get what trek is, though this season wasn’t as bad as the other two
Oof. Episode 9 and 10 really jumped the shark.
Actually, in terms of spectacular things to see, this is pretty minor compared to most shows in terms of visuals. And there was a work up to this point. The amount of things this scene tells is more than just "oh that was cool", there are LAYERS of things being revealed and confirmed by the actions here for data, let alone for the subtle things they threw in here in there.
@@tylerlazenbyWasn't speaking to its spectacle but more so how silly it got after episode 8.. this being the culmination. Wasn't terrible but you did have to turn your brain off after episode 8.
It's a science fiction show. I always turn my brain off to an extent 😂😂😂
@@jpbenson99 Totally fair!
