Heres a video showing you how to setup and install upgraded electronics into your WPL rig 👊😊
Using a cheap 20 amp esc, austar ax6 transmitter/receiver and the WPL 2 speed gearbox.
The previous esc had 10 minutes use and then stopped giving power to the motor due to a badly made battery connection that I made. A slight jiggle of the wire would cause it to turn on and off quickly. I think this was the reason it died, maybe it had a power surge and shorted out.
I've had nothing with good experiences with these cheap escs in the past, my dads C34 and C44km use them, my nephews mn99s and my own mn99 also use them without any issues.
I've now got myself a new battery with a jst connector to match the esc so I don't have to make a custom battery wire and risk a bad connection again.
I'm looking forward to hitting the trail with the B24, it's been a while 😂

Excellent setup and simplified. You helped me out a lot as I was doing it all wrong with the receiver underneath the seats of the cab and the ESC there underneath as well with wires for the rear lights everywhere and problems installing the battery drawer etc. lol. It´s like yours now and everything fits well! Just need to get those rear lights wires sorted :P

I've a cuestion concerning electronics... I'd recently got a c24-1 & a c44km both diy; in your opinion will be the best full combo for wpl cars? what receiver and what esc for a realistic long problem free ride..., servo also, any suggestion? Thx! great job!
I use the cheap 20 amp esc in most of my rigs, the hobbywing 1060 is another popular option.
As for transmitter/receiver theres lots of options out there, I use the ax6s from austar
Servo either the jx mg1181 or surpass hobby 17g for the c24 and the jx PDI-2506MG for the c44 😊
