I didn't know Adam Steel quit TH-cam (I just went to his channel and saw his farewell message). It was nice to get news, quite a likeable and informative guy. I'm amazed to see we still live in the golden age of music gear, what to choose? That Audient ID24 interface looks great, though, it's a step up from whatever you could buy for the same price just 4 years ago.

I also have the 818 and it's my main studio mic! It's the perfect mic for most sources. I've used them all and the 818 can do it all and sounds great. Thank you for what you do.

I got it home plugged it in, it starts up with all lights on quickly then settles to a normal state. Which can burn your eyeballs but in software is dimmable haven’t tried it. I have 2 Cranbournes and yes heavy well built and of course damn good haven’t tried welding. The Carnaby has built in encoder/decoder for mid side recording. Looking forward to getting 818 and having sonic fun

Oc 818 should be able to put the dogs in a different part of the room but I’m sure they add an untreated treat
