    That Sambucus tarot box by Vermillion Concept is really cool. Takes me back to the innovative mid-90's PC Game Box designs. I hope they do more reprints of their past campaigns. The artwork in their cards is also gorgeous, looks like all genuine human made artwork. I think I have a new favorite Deck creator. 😍😍 Another awesome video by Elowyn le Fay! 👏👏👏👏

    That sacred witch tarot deck looks amazing. That was a sweet shot of the actual illustration process.

      Thank you for sharing your favorite with me! I agree, the Sacred Witch tarot deck is so cool! I’m such a fan of beautifully designed witchy-themed decks. Seeing the illustration process was a treat and really deepens the appreciation for the artistry and effort that goes into it. I’m so glad you enjoyed that part too! They did a great job with showing that. 😊 Thank you for watching and stopping by!

    I went to the ORO editions website and the Wisdom of Place was originally a book published in 2023:, which looks like it would work as a more in-depth guidebook and seems to have pictures of the cards based on the free sample I looked at on Amazon.

      @elowynlefay  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Oh wow, that's great! It seems like a book would definitely enhance the deck's experience. I'll have to check it out! Thank you so much for sharing that information. Wishing you a wonderful day!

      I’m so glad you found a deck you’re excited about! I’m really curious about this one too. It seems like it will explore a lot of important topics. I love how it’s unafraid to address themes that aren’t often seen in oracle decks, that’s such a cool approach. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! 😊

    00:05:03 If you email Galison, they will email you the pictures of the deck that really should have been posted at Amazon. It's basically an RWS deck with books. The photos show a magnetic box and the back of the box says it is a 78-card deck with an 80-page guidebook.

      Thank you so much for sharing this information! That is incredibly helpful, especially since there was only one preview image available. It is great to know that Galison is responsive and willing to share the full details. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me and other viewers know! 😊

    I was going to back the Wyspell deck but the shipping to the UK is outrageous. I have backed many projects on Kickstarter from the US, Asia, and Europe and nobody has charged the the same price as the deck as the shipping charge. :-(

    • @robertawalsh2995
      @robertawalsh2995 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Unfortunately, I think we're going to see more of that. Part of the blame goes to the recent treaties that have affected international shipping and to the Universal Postal Union. Some smaller companies in the U.S. are charging higher rates or have stopped shipping to certain countries altogether because of compliance issues. Also, by U.P.U. policies, so called "first world" countries subsidize the international shipping fees paid by supposedly less prosperous countries. Part of the reason that manufacturing in China is booming is that, not only do they have cheap labor but they also have extremely low subsidized shipping costs.

    • @elowynlefay
      @elowynlefay  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for sharing about the shipping costs. Out of curiosity, I looked up shipping to the UK, and wow, you’re right, it’s the same cost as the deck! I wonder if it might improve when it eventually goes to Amazon? I’m so sorry; I completely understand how frustrating high shipping costs can be. I’ve definitely been in that position where I was ready to buy something, but the shipping price made me reconsider. 😔 It’s such a shame when that puts an amazing project out of reach. Hopefully, we’ll see better solutions in the future to make these decks more accessible globally. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video and comment!

      Thank you for sharing such detailed and intelligent insights into the challenges of international shipping. It’s such a complex issue, and it’s unfortunate how much these policies can affect creators, backers, and small businesses alike. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this context. It’s so helpful for understanding the bigger picture.

    How do you become certified in Tarot readings?

    • @elowynlefay
      @elowynlefay  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thank you for your question! I became certified through the Tarot Readers Academy, studying under Ethony Dawn. The course I took included interactive elements like homework, meetings, and even giving Ethony a reading as part of the final assessment. I completed it about 5-6 years ago, so the structure may have changed since then. It was an amazing experience, and Ethony is an excellent teacher!
      I’d been reading tarot for many years before taking the course, and while certification isn’t required to be a professional reader, I really appreciated the challenge and structure it provided. There are other certification programs as well, such as one offered by Biddy Tarot, so it’s worth exploring what resonates most with you. I personally loved Ethony’s course and highly recommend it! 😊

    I suppose that Mysteries of the Red Madonna, Mary Magdalene, is pretty but I'm not crazy about collage decks and I don't think that paying $200 for a deck is actually going to improve my readings. 🙄

    • @elowynlefay
      @elowynlefay  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I completely understand where you’re coming from. Collage decks can be a bit of a hit or miss depending on personal preference, and the price point is definitely something to consider. When I saw the price, I knew it wasn’t in my budget, but I couldn’t help admiring how beautiful it is and wondering about the information in the guidebook. I included it because I know many people are really excited about it, but I also wanted to be upfront about the cost to help others decide if it’s the right fit (just like it helped me). Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! 😊

    I would not recommend Delian tarot. Chris’s scholarship on the Shakespeare tarot has huge holes. After reading the “critlit” he decided to become an Oxfordian, revealing his dearth of study of Early Moderns.
    Steer clear of his nonsense, I am sure he may have checked Robert Graves out of the library, but I sincerely doubt the fraud actually read it.

      Oh wow, thank you so much! I do not have any of their decks so am not familiar with their writing. I really appreciate your input for the community!
