This is great for people like me who love tiedye, and hate color... lol Everything I own is greyscale, and people always think I'm nuts when I say I love tiedye. It's just super cool! I'm sure I could do some cool stuff with grey and black dye! I'll just give it a try.
@@chels10902 Yeah, I wish there was a way to bleach black stuff to be whiter.. I tried it once or twice and I'm not a fan of the pinkish orangey color it gets. But I do love to experiment and try stuff out, so I'll give it another go! I'm planning on a tiedye and paper making day with my nieces and nephews.. so I might leave the bleach at home for that one. lol
‘so what do you enjoy bingeing on youtube?’ ‘...it’s difficult to explain, but trust me, you’re gonna love it’ (so glad i stumbled across this channel, love your work as always dude and it’s so cool to watch your channel get more and more views :)
Might be something to do with the dye itself. Black dyes are made of a combination of other colors. When the black dye solution is too pale/not strong enough it will show the base color. Some will stay neutral while others may appear blue, red, or green. What I would suggest is to use more dye in your bottles. Black dyes are notorious for needing more dye powder. You should use up to two times the amount of dye if you want a very dark black.
It’s also good to note that blue dye is frequently used to create a more “white” texture because our eyes perceive yellow dyes in white/black as “off-white” (yellow+white= off white, yellow+black=brown, etc).
We've had success with multiple black dyes. What I found is that you definitely need to make a more concentrated dye solution and you want plenty of warmth when letting the dye set.
Hey, I need help asap. I made a whie-red-black shirt. What do I do to prevent colours from mixing and white turning grey? I am doing this 2nd time, the 1st time after wafhing the dye out with clear cold water all of the coulours stained white. Please help!!!
I have a hoodie i want to do this with but the best black dye i can find is for natural fibers, but my hoodie is a 70/30 blend in favor of natural fiber, will the dye i want to use still work? I am trying to get the truest black i can
HowToBasics has poisoned my brain. I keep expecting the hands to make a mistake, freak out, and just start spraying dye all over the shirt in a rage. Which, to be honest, would make for some interesting patterns.

What black are you using? Black is often difficult. Wondering if you found a better one.

Why do you dye your shirts inside out?
It's easier to line up the seams this way.

Unus Annus was EXACTLY what this reminded me of!

Would you be able to make one with ocean waves?
Maybe if you offset center of the spiral with the "pie pieces" that you dye. It'll take some trial and error.

Hi sir great work, watching you everyday, can you say about the tshirt you use for tie dyeing, it's gsm, fabric softener with bio wash or without?
It's a regular 100% cotton shirt washed in fresh water with a bit of detergent. You don't need any additional chemical product.
Wow!
may i know what solution you're using? thank you
Do you sell these I m so interested to buy these ♥️
My question is, why is the dyeing done with the garment reversed?
Bro how did you wash and rinse this and not ruin the white areas??
Do you have to let black sit/batch for longer than color dye?
Really nice Video

I don’t a T-shirt tonight but it’s came out blueish/ black ? the T-shirt was white to begin with , how do you get the shirts to stay white :)
Hi i have a question do u use the black dye powder or the liquid
What brand of black is that
What color do you use?
These dyes are "fiber-reactive dyes", you can find them online and in most craft stores.
So once the tie dye is finished. How do you manage to keep the white parts of the shirt to stay white?
By rinsing it carefully in cold water
3:19 I thought that was venom from Spider-Man
How do you stop the black dye from bleeding into the white when you wash it?
Always start rinsing in cold water to remove excess dye quickly. When the water runs clear soak the shirt in warm/hot water to get the rest out.
Wow
Love
А как стирать?
Why does a shirt have to be 100 percent cotton in order to tye die
I thought it was the ben 10 omnitrix LOL
You just shot me back in time to watching cartoons in 5th grade
@@BritneyT. haha yeah those were the good old times when everything was fine and peaceful unlike now.
Man, if you reverse the black and white, it looks like the original Doctor Who title sequence from 1963
😳👍👊♥️
