Every time you open up the shirt, I'm like "Wait, what? How the...nawww, really?" 🤔 Congratulations on your channel blowing up! 💥 Even if people don't tie dye, it's kind of cathartic to watch. ☮️
I figured out what I love most about your videos! In the beginning after watching many, the more serious of the peoples made it more of an architectural product( no disrespect how they get it done, I can't do better) with tools of the trade! They had protractors, rulers and other little doodads whatever works for them. You have the eye of a true artist you free hand and have a gift of seeing the center . your folding and pleats are impeccable and I love your eye for patterns and colors. What sets you apart from the rest, is you have relatable patterns for beginners that come out like you were a Pro! I love the flower, the alien I'm going to try them soon, ladybug. That's what it's about! You got your funky side and you have your fun side. I'm amazed at the projects you can do with such little die. Sometimes less is more, but even your more difficult patterns you do them at a nice easy pace and take care to show us both sides. You do it with class. The music is an added bonus, good Tunes no unnecessary talkin to draw your attention from the project. Thank you again for all your great videos Please give this a thumbs up if you agree
I really love that you did those snowflake edges like what I do with art. The first side is always really neat and exact, and then the other side is a little messier cause I've already done it before and it's a combination of muscle memory and "fuck it". Which honestly wow what an absolutely stunning shirt, both sides look the same after unfolding it, and it's so beautiful. I love watching these they're really relaxing
I can NEVER watch these videos... Without getting angry at the fact they always make me sleepy. The first time I found this channel I didn't even get to see the result of the shirt because I fell asleep while watching, so I had to rewind it, but it's always worth it! And I can always count on these videos to make me actually go to sleep when I've been awake until 3 a.m :D Love your videos!
I’m gonna be honest, sometimes when I’m having a bad day, watching your videos and seeing how much effort you put in, and seeing the amazing results really helps cheer me up. Thank you, truly.
If I'm thinking of the same thing, there's a powder that thickens water, makes it more...not syrupy, but less runny(?) idk what its called. but it causes the water to thicken up
"Thick water" is water that has been made into a thicker consistency with edible food products, for people with medical issues with swallowing runny liquids. It is available pre-made in bottles as a medical supply. It's been used recently in some videos recently for reactions of the hosts, or as a mild "prank", to the hosts' friends or family or pets. As a result the people who need it for their health are having issues getting enough, because viewers of those videos are purchasing all the supply of it. I assume if it were to be made for an arts and crafts purpose, one could make it out of any thickener, edible or not. Some more readily available and edible thickeners include grain gluten, agar agar, seaweed, aloe juice, prickly pear pad sap, okra, and for non-vegan sources, egg white and egg yolk, and gelatin. Rubber tree sap (the source of latex) is also used, but definitely not edible. I would recommend someone use agar agar powder for arts and crafts, since it is pretty easy to mix to almost any consistency, has little smell, and the unused powder keeps fresh a long time, as long as it's kept dry.
I learned about this in primary school. Just basic one with 1 color and more complicated because i needed to put the dye and the clothes into a boiling water. Never thought it could he this simple and this amazing with these techniques or more colors.
Hello! Thank you for your kind words. You're in luck as we've just compiled a list of retailers that sell dyes and supplies. You should find what you're looking for here and if you don't we will try to help you any way we can. www.chandye.com/where-can-you-buy-dyes-around-the-world/
Hello! Soda is the dye activator. The dyes we use need high temperature to fully react. We use soda ash (sodium carbonate) to make the solution more basic, that makes it possible for the dye to react at lower temperatures. If you're interested in learning more on tie-dye, you can find out more information here : www.chandye.com/how-to-tie-dye-a-shirt/
Hi there! I made 4 shirts and followed everything you do. I made spirals, a flower, a peace sign, Mickey mouse, and a beach. So fun. They were incredible. I rinsed them and put them in the dryer and they all lost their brightness. Any tips, please?
Hello! The thread we are using is called artificial sinew. Sinew is a type of waxed thread that is flat and will slip easily without friction, giving you extremely tight knots.
It's thickened water, made by mixing a small amount of algae powder thickener with water. It makes viscous water that is perfect for reducing the spread of the dye.
wow these videos are weirdly addictive
So are the tik tok makeup, nail and waxing story times.
I WAS JUST THINKING THAT! I’ve been binging them XD
I KNOW!
I don't even tie dye. 🥴
I think I need some kind of 12 step program. lol 😁
Exactly!!!
Insanly

I love what u doing. Double layering. That's my idea 2 so it becomes dark after washing 👌🏾
What is in the 2nd bottle you are using after you apply the dye
It's water we use it to help the white area stay white.
@@Chandye okay..that makes sense. I thought it was clear dye 🤦🏼♀️
@@maxstone7845 Not a bad guess! In fact it pretty much has the same effect a clear dye would have.
Hi love this channel. What is thickened water? I looked in the guide ( which is awesome) but I couldn’t find it? Thanks & may the 4ce b with u 😁
If I'm thinking of the same thing, there's a powder that thickens water, makes it more...not syrupy, but less runny(?) idk what its called. but it causes the water to thicken up
It’s water from the thickness factory. They give water some thickness and ship it out.

A snowflake is a six sided figure. This has eight sides. How would I fold to get six sides?
Could you please make a beautiful snowflake like this with the CORRECT six sides?
Beautiful... then you haven’t used resist on cotton?
Do you sell the shirts? Would love to buy one!

Is that just water in the clear bottle, I have never tie dyed so forgive me.
I always do random rings.
are the T-shirts before the process slightly wet?
Yes, we dye the shirts slightly damp.
you edit with movavi dont you
That clear white you put what do you called that?
It's water! It serves to "fill in" the fibers and prevents the dye from spreading to the white area.
Yes
