    My hack.
    Paste job description and paste your resume bullet points. Ask chat GPT to modify the resume bullet points according to job description. Once done copy paste it in your resume.

    Chat GPT is a great tool for job seekers.
    Yes, although it can’t be spot on with our relevant experience, it can provide a much needed starting point which you can then tweak to match your company and the skills you learnt there.

    I am testing cgpt for summary to maximize keywords from job description to fill in gaps that I have less experienced in. Such as familiar with & eager to improve on skill X.

    umm im wondering for achievements would it be overdoing it by having this section for an entry level position or internships? Should i remove achievements if resume gets to long or worth including so if my resume is 2 pages long for entry level role is fine?

    • @teal_hq
      @teal_hq  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your achievements should be woven in with your work experience. You likely don't need to list everything you've ever done in past roles or projects, but at least focus on the top priorities based on the job description. If the job description is asking for knowledge in a certain area or program, you should lean in on that experience and remove anything not asked specifically. It's okay to go onto a second page, but the most important information should be listed top down.

    If most of the work achievements generated by chat gpt are not even related to our current experience. Then it'll be pointless.

    • @teal_hq
      @teal_hq  ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Totally-it's important to make sure the achievements are things that are accurate and that you can speak to! You'll need to tweak the output before submitting, but it can be a great starting place!

    What is the purpose of doing this video

    • @teal_hq
      @teal_hq  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Showing people how to use ChatGPT to get ideas going for your resume. What's missing from this video though is our disclaimer that we always suggest people only use AI writing for ideas and not the final results.

  • @MariaVise
    @MariaVise 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    but it doesn't make the person sound human.... I know my sister says I sound like a boring robot.

    • @teal_hq
      @teal_hq  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Our recommendation with AI writing is that it's always a starting point for what you write OR just a way to get ideas going. You're right, the responses can sound very robotic and shouldn't be the final version of what you submit.

    So what you're saying is, fake and lie your way into a job. People might answer that we all are already doing this anyway, but there is a difference between craftily tuning your own resume and having an LLM create the whole thing in a matter of seconds for you.

    • @teal_hq
      @teal_hq  ปีที่แล้ว +33

      We definitely don't recommend lying about anything on your resume, ChatGPT or not. But leveraging AI to help present yourself in the best light can save hours of time and energy-and give you more time to spend on networking, practicing for interviews, and finding roles that you're interested in.

    • @xykarijehywat0814
      @xykarijehywat0814 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      My husband has always been handy and works on cars, in the truck driving industry, and physical tech but he absolutely sucks when it comes to writing lol I recommended this so he could upgrade his (horribly done) resume to switch gears. He now has 3 really good paying job offers doing what he already loves! A resume is your first, and sometimes only, impression with a job and *how* you present yourself is everything. No, people shouldn't lie but enhance what they've already got going on. If an AI can help with that, why not?
