The SDN era is here! And maybe the easiest way to grasp SDN concepts is through Cisco Meraki. This cloud networking solution is AWESOME for deploying advanced infrastructure features in a few clicks.

I just wanna say thank you for your videos. I am joining cisco now as a sales rep and your videos are extremely helpful to support my onboarding. Keep up with the awesome work!
What questions were you asked for your interview process?
You have a passion for this topic. Based on that, I am certain I will learn a lot from you.
going to learn Cisco Meraki basics, your videos were truly inspiring and really great info too 🥰
Thank you for the explanation. 😎 I've been working with meraki products for a while and didn't know much about them truly. You just clarified a lot of things for me!!
Thanks for the heads up! I'm all signed up!
Another simplified explanation to tech great job
Wow legit! I missed the boat on this one but just signed up for one that covers cloud based wifi.... and guess what? Free AP for attending. Thanks Knox.
Have fun!
Solid help! Thanks!
It was well explained,good job
finally!!! this is what i'm looking for.
Awesome explanation, I have a Meraki stack at home from CMNA, very good intro to it! Thanks for the awesome vids!
Did you see that they are changing their certs soon? meraki.cisco.com/webinars/cmno
I got mine also
I used Meraki for 3 years before the pandemic. It was a great service but definitely not cheap.
Thank You
I install the firewalls for a service provider. If you have a static IP you need to log into the device to put that in before it will connect. Might be a good thing to include in your CBTN course.
It is in the course! www.cbtnuggets.com/it-training/deploy-lan-connectivity-meraki-mx-appliance
Nugget # 2 is titled "Setting the Primary and Failover WAN IP"
Is there a non-cloud version of Meraki (where is just works locally)?
Well explained
This is very cool stuff.
excellent content
Thanks!!
*I'm just discovering your videos and I like your presentation style. If I wanted to get a Meraki Cert do I need to buy gear to practice on or can I use labs online?*
Check out the DevNet Sandbox! They have a Meraki environment
Kindly explain how Auto-VPN is orchestrated and the packet flow.
How do I obtain legal SD-WAN images to use in my Eve-NG environment? I have a Cisco account already.
Great video, great explanation, but I have to completely disagree with the reasons for which you're such a fan. Ease of configuration and deployment are great and all, but with the Meraki platform's horrid limitations and licensing structure (that's literally perpetual if you want the box to continue to pass traffic), there are more desirable enterprise solutions. That being said, I am a huge fan of using the Meraki auto-VPN capabilities for tiny branch office deployments.
what about disaster whdere there is no internet and you need to block vlan traffic to another subnet?
aloha ! great vid & appreciated passion . im newly ccna & sec+ certified . im biggest question is. if obtaining a ccnp is worth the effort considering the automation shift to R & S ? my ultimate goal is to be an Azure architect .......c# is my next everest
mahalo
Kele
Aloha! CCNP is an awesome certification, but it doesn’t have many skills that are applicable to Azure. You may want to glance the AZ exams! AZ-104 is a great admin exam, AZ-204 is a great C# developer exam, and AZ-303 combines the two
There’s also a book that I highly recommend for learning C# C# 8.0 and .NET Core 3.0 - Modern Cross-Platform Development: Build applications with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core, and ML.NET using Visual Studio Code, 4th Edition www.amazon.com/dp/B07YLXFGBS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_RvOVEbM5RXHWS
Nice Demo!
Are you drawing on a Wacom monitor?
Sure am
Any options for offline meraki deployment at specific sites that are kept isolated from the internet for security reasons ??
Not that I’m aware of. Internet connectivity to the Meraki cloud, from what I gather, would be a requirement
Thanks for your feedback
lol... Catalyst+CLI :P
@@DataKnoxso I can save my password on there instead of my Google account??
What happens if Meraki cloud goes down?
Uk individuals are not included to any free gear. Amazing
Is devnet going to rock in networking?
I sure hope it does! I think it will!
Thanks to SDN/Meraki now a kid with gmail like login can hack and break an entire network with one password YAY
lmaoo
Are you english or from USA? i guess USA from your accent...
I started crying as soon as he started talking 😭 I hate technology!!!
I have attended those webinars to try to obtain free gear but have never revived any products. No bueno
Oh no! If you think you are a qualified participant, I would reach out to your sales rep right away and get that gear! They can even hook you up with a 90 day trial if not
If you work foe a partner you are not eligible but if you watch the partner events they have Seminars from time to time. You have to attend in person though
Meraki is poor performance and more like budget solution
Poor performance compared to what? Their higher end models support global enterprises with thousands of clients 🤷♂️
Complete and expensive BS. You are not going to log in to your devices every day anyway, plus you are dependent on cloud account and internet to control your local environment.... no, thanks
You’re mispronouncing Meraki ...
