I've been 3d printing HexTex for a while now and its great. The partnership with GaleForceNine is an interesting option providing pre-painted stuff for people that aren't into 3d printing. The creator recently set up his own site for selling the STLs as the last one he was partnered with closed. Thunderhead-Studios is the name of the creator of these models.

If there is no one left to report you where stealthy ;) And it fits the 1980s (west) german army where the Recon batallions used M41 / M48 / Leopard 1 tanks in addition to the Luchs 8x8 or Spz Kurz. So - Using Zeus and Atlas is proper of the Weltraum-Krauts of House Steiner (Btw: Coburns Feldwebel Steiner is the avatar of all german Sergeants, a bit like Eastwoods Highway or Ermeys Hartmann for the US)
I thoroughly enjoy making my own 6mm terrain though you can’t do so much detail in scratchbuilding (well, depending on how much time you have…) but those sets are really nice. The felt bottoms are a nice touch (that sounds weird😅) and that mechs facing is consistent when atop the buildings is very well thought out.
Very nice - I've got a couple of smaller HexTex buildings from a 3D print store, and they are lovely pieces. Looks like I'll be getting hold of a box or 2 and adding a small bit of extra paint detail to them like you suggested.
Really curious about the road sections and highlands pieces being released in a retail scenario. As cool as the buildings are, i think the real winner here are those roads and hills.
The detachable hex bases are brilliant. I wouldn't buy these if they weren't removable since I play Alpha Strike and the hexes make the game less aethestically pleasing.
I've only played Alpha Strike up to now as I find it impossible to visualize the features of classic battletech maps. This line of terrain is going to be an auto-buy, both for AS and to give Classic a chance.

I love the hex bases being separate pieces. Makes them usable for AT, dropzone commander etc as well.
Better than toilet paper tubes and the mini boxs of cereal I used years ago
Definitely would watch a painting tips video. These look perfect for Steel Rift and Alpha Strike
Yes painting glow up for terrain would be awesome. Nice to see reasonably priced accessories.
Also, if you play with optional rules for blowing up buildings, the sabot style basing is just perfect to show the footprint of the ruins!

If your foundation bases and roadways are warped like mine, where... just put them on a flat surface in the sun for a day. They lay flat now.

I've 3D printed those exact pieces and they are great, so I'd assume the injection molded and painted versions from GF9 are even better.
