I used to own the Sigma 35mm 1.4 DG DN and still own the stellar Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG DN. The 35mm sigma was not sharp close up and very heavy for a 35 1.4. I ended up filling my bag with G master lenses for pro work like the 14, 24, 35, and now the 50mm GM 1.4. I love the GM line of primes and it is definitely an investment, but totally worth every penny!

1 main advantage the 1.2 has over 1.4 is the flare control due to the coating. 1.2 is able to almost eliminate flare but not 1.4. If u like flare then 1.4 is better and cheaper.

Interesting info! I have never heard of this... That will probably justify the price difference.
