Never used any kind of digger before in my life; had a rental Bobcat delivered today and thanks to your videos was able to use it immediately; including manouvring through an 80cm wide corridor! Gotta love the miracle of the internet! Thanks all the way from the Netherlands!
Your videos are extremely informative and seems to be pretty honest and upfront an forward about pros and cons with this E10 and convinced me to buy my own! Just picked it up today and couldn't be happier
Thanks! I feel a lot more confident now. I am renting this machine in a couple of days and had no clue how to operate it as I've never operated any large equipment before.
Thanks so much. Just rented this machine for a home project and picked it up in a total rainstorm so I wasn’t able to get a run through from the rental shop.
Just scheduled the rental of this for this weekend. Excited to get the job done quickly - digging out and replacing my window egress well. Thanks for the video. I feel more confident I can work it. Thanks!
Hi great info but see the little knob that allows machine to turn around mine is stuck in lock so i can't turn i can not get it to lift up and left to release. Is there anything i am missing. its a rental and of course its Easter Sunday and i have it out to do bit of gardening clearance.
That’s not happened here. I would try rocking the boom side to side while having someone try to unlock the lever. Also I think the pattern is an L shape. It doesn’t go straight up and down. It slides to the side and then up. Good luck!
@@arlingtonguy54 You Sir are a Star. Worked. Now I have to get some gardening done. Got to go up a slope so I take it that its better to keep the blade down behind you as I go up. Its fantastic little machine on the flat but when you start to go up an angle it gets tad hairy. :)
Thanks for the comment Leif. You will like running it as it is a great machine. Keep RPM low and take your time. Soon I will make a video on the the difference between SAE and ISO controls and how to switch between them.
Hi there I have I question about the track on the e10 have one my self and my truck are keep coming off would love to get some help to see how your digger look like but this would need to be done on the video call or some picture ?
Have you checked the tension on the track. It’s done by adding grease or removing some grease pressure to get the track tension right. The grease zerk is under the small cover on the side of the track.
Yes I have I have take it down the track and some thing is not right about the metal ring hard to explain have to talk to you or show you on the pictures but haw we can do this ?I m from england
You definitely won’t pick up a 500 lb boulder but you could probably push it around. I’ve also picked up heavy rocks by placing them between my bucket and the blade and then raise the blade. That way center of gravity is closer to machine so you can then track. Good luck!👍 and thanks for the comment
That sounds like the SAE controls that they use mostly on John Deere. As a kid I learned to run John Deere backhoe with John Deere backhoe controls. Years later I had to learn cat controls on a backhoe, and then the same thing on an excavator with excavator controls. Then I want to work for a company where I had to run a John Deere backhoe with backhoe controls and I had to quickly relearn them. I have heard of people who got so used to running excavator controls one way and backhoe controls the other way. I found myself falling into that also. Now whenever I get on a backhoe or an excavator that has excavator controls, which means the levers are beside me I automatically try to run it with cat controls. And if I'm running any kind of backhoe or excavator that has controls in front of me I automatically try to use John Deere control pattern. I don't like backhoes anymore. But I do love running mini excavators!
You covered everything that was obvious very well except you didn't touch on the one not so obvious thing but widely used - the pattern control changer. I'll keep looking!
You are right I forgot while making the video! I mentioned it in the onscreen notes while editing though since I have only used it once to see if I could operate in the other pattern. I couldn’t! 🤣 Thanks for your comment. It’s a simple valve twist in the engine compartment to change over.
@@arlingtonguy54 you know I thought I even saw a snippet of that in the thumbnail preview. That’ll teach me to fast forward through things looking for bits of information. Well done!
See my next video on the differences between ISO and SAE controls and how to switch back and forth.
Appreciate your tutorial on the Bobcat controls. It is the simplest but, most thorough instructions I've seen
Thank you. I appreciate the comment.

Thnx for the video, I'm renting the E10 tomorrow for some digging in my garden. This was very helpfull. Greetings from Garmerwolde, the Netherlands.

Great! If inexperienced, keep rpms low and take your time. You will get it in no time!
Thank you for posting this video. It has helped me very much much.
Easy to understand clear walktrough - thanks
Thanks for the information and "better" user manual, much appreciated
Really useful and clear and concise - never used one before but now feel semi-confident to have a go at using one.
Learning controls is the easy part. Learning grading is the harder part. That takes time and practice. Good luck with your project!
Great video! Just rented one of these and this was greatly helpful! Thanks so much.
OUTSTANDING job--thank you very much!!!!!!
Hey, where did you buy your thumb?

@@MrT-vg3bp yes that is right. keep the blade downhill and use it to level the machine while digging!

I made a video on that. th-cam.com/video/u8RPjFMV3n8/w-d-xo.html
Great video. Great explanation of all controls
Thank you for watching and for the compliment!
I was hoping to find out how to silence the backup beeper
Does that machine have pilot controls or are they direct hydraulic controls?
They are pilot control joysticks. Only the blade is a hydraulic valve stick.
Perfect video! Thanks!
Outstanding video. Thank you! Do you think this could move 300-500 boulders? Or would I need something bigger?
300-500 lbs that is.

Any idea how much that little guy cost ?
About $20K
27k USD as of 2-3-23

@@imd1b4u I get confused.
I normally call it backhoe or excavator control pattern. Or call it JD or cat.
