Really impressed with how you attacked that problem. Calm, collected, concise.
Love these types of videos. Gives the behind the scenes look of the business and the process it takes to get some of these trucks bought and sold.👍
GREAT save!!!
When I was a kid my dad had one of these with a 16 foot double deck stock rack. He would work all day and then drive a load of our hogs 50 miles into St Louis in the evening. Mom would always make one of us kids ride along with him to keep him awake. The truck was pretty much worn out and had a quarter turn of slack in the steering. We used it several years then bought a new Chevy in 1966.
use snatch block will double your winch pulling power
I really think going from the rear
The scenery brings back memories. When I met my now-late wife, she had lived in New Jersey and Pennsyl-tucky for 30 years. I was brought up in the Midwest, but had spent 30 years in California. I was really shocked at how rural especially New Jersey was. Once you get outside Philly and stay away from Camden, it's like small towns, farms, and even ranches like most places in America.
Love the COE
I’m thinking you need to call that winch company and thank them. A little lube like water or WD-40 in front of those rear tires might have helped. Awesome to see someone taking the time to recover these old trucks. I’m wondering how many 2024 Silverados will be saved in the year 3000. 😂😂
And that's why you always take a floor jack along.
Didn’t know I was taking the truck haha. I didn’t have a lot of things
Nice save there brother. Yeah i'd say a 350 or 370 model. also can't believe how untouched that one is! even has the orig spare tire & holder.. I read online some of the smaller ones had 3-71 and 4-71 detroits. There's a 860 DF Local to me I've been talking to the owner with. Going to snatch it up soon.
Good luck to you.
nice one
Nice save! Cheers! 😎👍🛻🏁🏁
You bet
really cool old truck
You SELL 2 Truck n your Trailer is Paid off 😂
I have politely introduced myself to neighbors of the property that I did not know, who looked like they had equipment. I'm the fool that bought the old car in the woods from the estate and would like to pay you for your time in helping me load it. What you think is fair. I was lucky. I didn't quibble. The guy was in his 70's and had a D3, treated me fairly, and it was far less than coming back.
Call a towing service
Super Job!
For $25,000 Trailer there should Be a Built in Compressor , Generator n Welder n Plus a Floor Jack n you would be Set huh 😂😂😂
I agree, luckily for us this one was free due to a sponsorship haha
@@Ironcitygarage Nice n I said that to give them an idea n put that's stuff on n make it Convenient to they're Customer's huh n I Know from exsperiance n I was a Mobile Service Mechanic for years
Just found your channel! Sweet content!
Herculean effort Pete.....great video.....I'll be watching for the next segment on this COE.....where did you go to high school?.....Pittsburgh boy myself.
That was a lot.
My buddy used to have a 53 panel on a 72 GMC suburban frame with a old 454 it drank gas but gas was cheap and it went anywhere!.
Gotta love a GMC
if you ever get around stbg I have a backhoe to help if needed
Nice recovery
If you use a connetic rope you can yank on the rig you're trying to pull. Without having to worry about it snapping and sending projectiles through your back window.
How much kinetic energy is stored in one of those "connectic" ropes?
I know I need to get one!
yep didn't think you were going to get that one this trip
Definitely not haha, still surprised I got it on the trailer. I was running out of tricks winch wise and daylight
Nice job loading that old truck
Thanks 👍
Wow good job never gave up 😊
hell of a job
So cool 😎
Hello everything is fine? What happened to that young man who starred in the videos doing mechanical, washing, bodywork/bodywork services??? Hugs from Goiânia, state of Goiás in Brazil!!!!
We parted ways with clay, I’m aware it all looked good on camera but that was just cinema magic. It wasn’t all good in real life day to day
Was that farm over near Flemington, NJ? It looks like a farm where we used to haul horses in the sixties. Nice job. That looks like a 370.
@@Ironcitygarage Thanks
Baltimore area
Quit swinging the remote
😃😃😃😃
I'm a stickler for dialogue, understood everything in the video except for the last line. 32:15 " I tell you one thing, you do not want to leave the ....."
Couldn't understand, the very end of that sentence... anyone clarify that...?
Please 🍀🔧
“Off road jack”
Good Job, well done. for your age it sounds like your out of shape, need some cardio at least. some light weights
WHEN TIERS ARE LOCKED UP A LITTLE MOTOR OIL ON THE FLAT BED IN FRONT OF THE TIRES WILL MAKE THE LOCKED UP TIRES SLIDE LIKE NO PROBLEM GETTING ON THE BED ( JUST A " LITTLE " OIL ) AND CLEAN IT UP AS SOON AS YOUR DONE SO NO ONE WILL SLIP AND BREAK THERE NECK / GOOD LUCK
Cheap liquid soap from dollar tree.
That trailer is insane, they oughta give you a kickback for this video!
We were sponsored by them for the last year so the trailer was given to us free.
you should go back to school less winch line on the drum the stronger pull snach block double the pull
Needs 350
The comment about more cable out and the winch being weak is false and you need a snatch block
It’s not false it says it right on the box of the winch, the more laps of cable you have off the drum the less leverage that winch has
Marvin Gay “let’s get it on”
Just saying, remove the rear driveshaft.
If the drums are stuck what would that do?
I wonder, do you ever get tired of looking at, Breathing in and tasting Rust? Lol.😊
9:05 your gonna fix it up huh?
Yea after Carlisle we’ll get it in the shop like the rest of them. Watch out other videos, they all get the same treatment
Watch your language
Nah
That was kind of a loser scene with the bridge man have respect people died
